Medusa. first of all who wants Medusa??? I do not know anyone that cares about the inhumans. The only person I have ever heard who likes the Inhumans is Gene Simmons as he based his costume on Black Bolt(Medusa's husband).
However, I have a funny a story on this. I am huge Kiss friend same with my best childhood friend Max (who got me into Kiss) and on our first Halloween we of course got the make out as the classic Kiss members Demon(Gene) and the Starchild(Paul Stanly). I of course was Starchild so already 8 year old me knew that Black Bolt was not cool.
Medusa is a in a pretty bad spot in the game. She is a mix match of abilities that really dont work well together.
First of all shes an infiltrator that tanks which kinda like old Havok. While other infiltrator tank e.g Spider-man. But she is much more like Havok, a high damage dealing character who also jumps in to die...
Because clearly if you have a character with very high damage output you want to focus first and foremost on boosting their attack. So they deal more damage creating a classic glass cannon cahracter. This is why old Havok sucked. He was the game biggest class cannon and he was also tanking attacks even if you didn't want to....they fixed that and completely removed that.
Medusa don't do Havok bonkers damage but she does actually do a surprising high damage. And really surprising as I have never even once seen her being played, I got her on level 14 and I have actually played wit her a lot. But no one else seems to care(coming back to my first point) but yeah she is actually strong.
Her base damage is just very, very high. Especially her second attack, its a massive 1 target attack. With no cooldown. But then her passive makes her tank and her ability lower the enemies damage output by a lot. This should make her a good tank but her tank ability is not reliable at all as its a chance to tank.
She ends being in a really weird spot were she can be a decent tank if you go for a full tank isos but then her damage will be atrocious so its counterproductive to her great base daamge. Or you can go Class Cannon were she ends up doing really great damage but she sometimes get herself killed....
Pretty mediocre in the end.
Actually she would really good if she had better debuffs they are lasting far to short and only her ultimate has a really good effect mangle, were the target cant use any buffs if they are afflicted. Because tanking sometimes is pretty good. Its harder then to focus that character and having 3 like that can be good.
Going Stark on her, Attack/def/hp. Makes her decently strong as she will sometimes go in and she can take some damage. While still doing some damage. But she is limited and not really good in anything. It would be one thing if she was like Taskmaster who is just good in everything.
Not directly a playable character but as Glass cannon in attack at least she is pretty good.
