Character Concept Anton, the Redeemer: Moba Design

I will follow a League of Legends design fashion for this character as I it is designed for a MOBA genre game or a similar game genre. + Most of my readers do read the League of Legend related articles (roughly 8000 unique readers yesterday on those articles), making it seems reasonable.
Well the best thing with making it be about League of Legend, is that it eases the communication for me. Now I can say well it would work similar to X or it would removes Y’s ability. Its especially good when using examples, and explaining situations.

Furthermore, if anyone is interested in working as a concept artist etc I know some people who have interested in doing so for Character Design contact me and we can probably work something good out of it.



Anton, the Redeemer.


Quick Overview:

Anton is a hybrid damage carry. Which abilities are based around dealing damage to himself to power him, or to deal damage with the ultimate.
Anton will be an extremely suicidal character
Anton powers his abilities trough self mutilation. Some ability cost health to use while other cripples him.
Because of this, there will be a big variance in possible builds for Anton. He supports both a more Attack Damaged focused approach or a more Ability Damage. However, he will mainly do best going for attack speed or a heavy health based play focusing on utilizing his ultimate for maximum benefits.
Anton fits as a Top or Mid laner. And in some teams he will be able to play as an attack damage carry.
(He will probably be the worst jungler in the game as he will kill himself, reverse sustainability)

Hard Difficulty.


Lore:

Anton mother died given birth to him in a horrible maternal death scenario, it was blood everywhere. Anton’s father, the priest of the little village they lived in, never forgive Anton for killing his mother. Antons 3 older siblings also felt a strong resentment towards their younger brother since his birth.
While Antons father felt a strong hatred for his son, and more importantly a strong fear as the young boy already at an early age showed sign of inherent magical powers. Unfortunately for Anton not only did his power make him stand out even more then he already did, his father and the people in the village saw them as the power of the Occult. His father remedy for this was a strong salvation of Mortification of the flesh, Anton grew up being constantly mortified by his father and his siblings.
However, while they thought they where controlling him and making him lose interest in his latent powers. The pain and torture made Anton grow stronger each day, he realized that he could harness his pain to conjure more powerful spells.
On his 15 year old birthday, as with all of his birthdays. His family always gave him special attention as they morned his dead mother. However, Anton had learned to control his power enough that this time he could end their torment. Anton slaughtered his whole family, bathed in their blood. After this he left his house to end the life of each person in his home village.
Since then Anton has been traveling around the world to end as much life as possible, from his upbringing he views to be a live as the worst sin of all. And he will make sure that as many people as possible will not be allowed to sin.  

Appearance:

A priest, a normal priest but with a kris in ins right hand. Anton don't seem himself as evil or anything like that. So he shouldn't go around looking like a maniac blood thirsty priest dressed in red with upside down crosses etc.
But as a normal priest.

Abilities:

Passive Ability: Atonement

The stronger Anton becomes the faster he can kill himself.
Ability power and physical power increases his abilities powerful. But makes him lose life more.


50 Attack damage increases total damage of abilities by 3% and life cost by 11,5%
75 ability power increases total damage of abilities by 3% and life cost by 11,5%

For example if Anton uses his Mortification of the flesh on level 5.
With 0 in attack damage and 0 in ability power. It deals
110 damage and 35 damage over 4 seconds, while costing 225 health points
If Anton has 150 attack damage and 300 ability power.
110 +60(from base ability+) +35x4 + 22.5x4(from base ability+) = 400 total damage
This 400 damage is increase by the passive for 21% more damage
400 + 84 = 484 as the total damage (before mitigation by targets defences etc)
And instead of costing 225 health points it cost 225 + 181.125 for a total of 406.125 health point lost.

Note: Mortification of the flesh, do 484 damage split as, 205.7 physical and 278.3 magical damage (explained below)

- The idea is that Anton gains more and more damage then other characters gain, but he deals more damage to himself. This balance out the damaged increase, and also makes the damage taken more vital at late game. Furthermore, its essential for his ultimate.


Mortification of the flesh (Q)

Anton stabs himself with a Kris.
Next normal attack will throw a Kris drenched in Anton’s blood.
The blood poisons the victim and deals moderate damage when the kris hits.

Deals 30/50/70/90/110 + 40% Attack damage, as Physical Damage
Deals damage over time : Per second it deals 15/20/25/30/35 + 7.5 % Ability power over 4 Seconds

Cost 45/90/135/180/225 Health Points
Cooldown 15/14/13/12/11




Bloodlust: (W)

Anton’s bloodlust increases beyond his control. He cuts his own Achilles’ tendons on both legs. To vastly increase his body's movement. However, he moves slower as he has crippled himself.

Furthermore, his blood that pours out from his feet's desecrates the very ground he is standing on.

Increased attack speed for 5 seconds
By 40%/60/80/100/120%

The area around Anton becomes desecrated slowing and damaging his enemies.
Deals damage over time : Per second it deals 10/25/20/25/30 + 5.0 % Ability power over 5 Seconds

Enemies are slowed by 10%/20/30/40/50%.


Cost Health over time:  5/10/15/20/25 Health points per second for 5 Seconds.
Cost Movement speed is reduced by 50% for 5 Seconds.
Cooldown 30/27.5/25/22.5/20 Seconds

- I really like my idea here, there are characters in many games that use health to pay for their abilities. Some of them exist in League of Legends for example Mordekaiser. But, to damage oneself and to debuff oneself. I like the this ability as it deals damage over time to Anton and makes him slowed as cost.

Punishment: (E)

Anton stabs an ally, enemy champion or himself

Range 125
Deals 75/125/175/225/275 + 30% Attack Damage, as Physical Damage.

If Anton stabs an enemy.
The enemy take damage.

IF Anton stabs an ally champion.
The ally take damage, this damage is true damage and cannot be mitigated.
This damage cannot kill an ally (Because its modeled for League of legends -_-)

Anton feeds on his allies pain and gains the health they lost as health to himself. Furthermore, he gains an ability power boost.

10%/20/30/40/50% more ability for 10 seconds after stabbing an ally (regardless of which ally)

- This ability I think can become really interesting to use strategy for a team. It could be that the jungler comes to mid so that Anton can stab him and  gain health. Every team battle, it will be a question of who to stab, which ally to gain power of just go for a damage to 1 enemy. Or to stab himself in synergy with the ultimate.

 
Ultimate: Shared Fate (R)

Anton curses an enemy champion.

When Anton takes damage so does his cursed adversary.

Range 500
Enemy takes 30%/45%/60% of the damage + Ability power/20 (100 Ability equals 5% more shared damage)
Last for 10/12/14 + Attack Power / 85 Seconds.


No cost to use
Cooldown 120/100/80 Seconds

- The idea here is that Anton will curse one opponent and then use all his abilities to inflict self harm. It will also be like a Zilean ultimate, where the enemy team really shouldn't focus Anton as then they will kill their teammate. Because of this ability, going some health on Anton will help a lot. Furthermore, to maximum damage from this the user should go a lot of HP and zero in defence so that Anton dies faster from the enemies but can lose a lot of health points to deal a lot of damage.



Inspiration for the design:

Hidan (Naruto) and Wanderer999’s design of Hidan in naruto wars, in  both this cases its the ultimate that I have taken inspiration to create from the manga and the game about it.
