(Contact me and we can work something out - e.g Hire me as a Full time worker or a Freelancer etc this character is just the tip of the iceberg)
I will follow a League of Legends design fashion for this character as I it is designed for a MOBA genre game or a similar game genre. + Most of my readers do read the League of Legend related articles (roughly 8000 unique readers yesterday on those articles), making it seems reasonable.
Well the best thing with making it be about League of Legend, is that it eases the communication for me. Now I can say well it would work similar to X or it would removes Y’s ability. Its especially good when using examples, and explaining situations.
Furthermore, if anyone is interested in working as a concept artist etc I know some people who have interested in doing so for Character Design contact me and we can probably work something good out of it.
Aadesh bedlam, the Prince of Chaos.
Quick Overview:
Aadesh, works as a mid lane depending on who the opponent is. Otherwise Aadesh is a good support character.
Aadesh is based around controlling a field around himself, that determine his range of both normal attack and abilities.
This makes Aadesh very hard to play, especially in the begging of the game Aadesh will be pretty weak and limited. Furthermore, his third ability is hard to control and can give unpredictable consequences depending how it is used. As he grows in levels Aadesh powers will be hard to control and his ultimate gives the user a lot of possible strategies.
Extremely Hard Difficulty.
Lore:
Aadesh was born as the youngest child of a powerful king. As Aadesh was the one farthest away from ascending the throne he grow up extremely spoiled and never being taught to take responsibilities for anything.
As with his older brothers Aadesh was thought the art of magic. But he always wanted more, and most of all he wanted to become stronger then his older more experienced brothers.
Aadesh started researching old forbidden magic, magic that no one should use.
Aadesh quickly become stronger and stronger, and managed to beat brother after brother. But each time he used the forbidden magic, he became more and more mad. His oldest brother, the strongest of them all challenged him to a deadly duel to end his madness.
Aadesh called upon his strongest magic which created a tear in the very fabric of existence, destroying his whole home town. His older brother managed to seal the tear and saving most the people in the city.
Aadesh, became banned from his home country. Now he is in search for a country to conquer but his magic is quite unpredictable and his personally as well.
Appearance:
I am thinking something like Evil Aladdin.
I want him to have a classic middle eastern look. But, with a lot of purple color schemes as that is what most people connect to dimensional magic, purple and black.

-Aadesh start with more hp then most AP/Support to make it easier for him as he at start is melee(then).
Abilities:
Passive Ability: Dimensional Field
Aadesh’s abilities becomes more potent as he levels up. Each level increases the radius of control Aadesh has.
Aadesh starts with a 35 range field which increases with 35 per level. At level 18 Aadesh has field of 630 Range.
Aadesh normal attack is the range of his Dimensional Field.
Meaning he starts out as melee and grows to become a ranged character.
-All the abilities are based around how big this field is, and my basic concept was that I wanted an Ap character that’s range grew each level. It is very important for the user to keep in mind how big the field is and why his second ability increases the field, this is to to let him have some range at lower levels. Also the second ability second effect, is better at lower level (arguably).
Interdimensional Matter Transporter: (Q)
Aadesh creates a rift that swaps one target with pebbles.
Aadesh next attack is enchanted with a interdimensional manipulative effect.
The attack places the target at the outside of Aadesh Dimensional Field in a straight line.
Animation effect: The target is place at the border of Dimensional Field and small pebbles appears where the target stood(maybe it can be grass in bushes etc. Depending on how much work that would be---)
Deals (Normal Attack damage) + 100/135/170/205/240 + 45% of ability power as magic damage
Cost 120/105/90/75/60 Mana
Cooldown 20/17.5/15/12.5/10
-Ok I explain the ability horrible for dramatic effect. It basically pushes the opponent to the rim of Aadesh current range of Dimensional Field. While dealing extra magical damage.
Aadesh is all about controlling the field(pun hoho), both the actual game field and his own field. By first using the second ability this ability place them further away, meaning the user can level the second ability first to gain maximum control but then the damage is lower. I want the user to have to take hard decision.
Dimensional Fissure (W)
Aadesh creates a fissure in the dimensional borders around him. This vastly increases his dimensional field.
Furthermore, when it returns back to its normal range all other objects will be swept with fissure and move closer to him, e.g Champions, creeps etc.
Range 50/100/150/200/250 + 25% of ability power
This range is a + range on his current fields range.
If Aadesh is currently level he has 210 range using this ability on level 1, with 40 AP will result in
210 + 50 + 10 range = 270 range field.
This will increase Aadesh normal attack range with 60 and affects all other abilities ranges.
Everyone is pulled closer to Aadesh when the ability ends. However, this only affects object that where in the outher circle when it disappeared. Close standing objects are not affected.
Last for 5/7/9/11/13 Seconds
Cost 200/175/150/125/100 Mana
Cooldown 50/45/40/35/30 Seconds
-I want this ability to be really, really interesting. First of all it afflicts allies as well. But to make it work, the user has to stand in at a distance that it pulls enemies. This distance is depending on the users current level, ability power and current level of this ability. So its a lot of math. I got the main idea of the outer circle having a extra affect from playing Darius in League of Legends, but I wanted it to be more dynamic and yes harder. I intend Aadesh to be extremely hard to play, clearly the basic of this ability is as I mentioned earlier to make his other ability's work so that was clear, but that little extra finesse of the outer pull I really like.
Lets not forget this ability increases his normal attack range, so at level 18 with a lot of ability power he can attack for a very long range. Which also means he can displace people at a very huge range using this and then his first ability. But as I mentioned earlier leveling this means lower damage (note this ability does zero damage) a user that wants massive control will go for this ability at start. Others will probably level this on last or a mix and so on. This is why I really like this character concept, a very hard, very complicated character to play.
Dimension Distortion (E):
Aadesh distorts an enemy's attack, the enemies attack is placed in another dimension and then returns to hit a random enemy champion in Aadesh field.
Aadesh can only distort single target range abilities and he can only distort them if the caster is in his field.
(Cast a self buff that reflects next single target spell on him, towards a random enemy champion)
Distortion buff last for 5/5/5/5/10 seconds
Distortion reflects 1/1/2/2/2 Single target ranged abilities (cast in the field)
Deals, original damage of the ability + 33% Ability power of Aadesh
The original casters ability/attack power does not improve the damage done by Dimension Distortion
Cost 80/74/68/66/60 mana
Cooldown 60/50/50/40/40 Seconds
Animation: A purple shimmer around Aadesh, to indicate that he will reflect the next single target abilities.
-yeah, first of all its a little hard to explain what the user gains from leveling this ability. I want the ability to improve in different parts per level instead of a steady increase like most other abilities. So the time it last, that's the level 5 reward as that’s the best improvement.
This ability I myself really like in conjunction with his passive as it easier to aim with it when the user is lower level. In the beginning of the game this ability will be 100% sure to reflect to the caster as it will be a solo 1v1 duel (given no gank happens etc), while at later team battles of the game, possibly all enemy champion can be randomized on. I want the ability to be chaotic, and as it carries with the possible added effect it can create really interesting gameplay situations.
Ultimate: Pandemonium (R)
Aadesh focus his chaos power to affect 2 individuals in his field.
When the user activates Pandenmonium, the 3 other abilities change one a new ability per ability until one of them is cast.
Pandenmonium can be canceled by pressing R again.
The level of the other abilities does not affect the new abilities.
Cost 250/300/350 Mana
Cooldown 150/135/120 Seconds
Trade-In (Q)
Aadesh swaps 2 champions locations.
Both champion has to be in his field of range.
He cannot target himself.
The user can swap 2 allies, 2 enemies or one of each.
Checkmate (W)
Aadesh swaps 2 champions abilities.
Both champion has to be in his field of range.
He cannot target himself.
This affect last for 10 seconds.
The user can swap 2 allies, 2 enemies or one of each.
Abilities have the cooldown left what they had before. E.g if Miss Fortune is swapped with Leblanc, and Leblanc had Sigil of Silence on Cooldown with 5 seconds left, Miss Fortune cannot use it right away but most wait for 5 seconds.
Vanity's Fiend (E)
Aadesh swaps 2 champions buffs and debuffs.
Both champion has to be in his field of range.
He can target himself.
The user can swap 2 allies, 2 enemies or one of each.
This ability can swap any buff or debuff in the game that is not a passive buff. E.g It cant swap the extra ability power received from Meja’s Soul stealer.
Aadesh can for example swap away a stun on an ally to an enemy + all other buffs or debuffs.
- This is what Aadesh is all about swapping stuff. The first one, Trade-in. Might be to similar to for example Urgot in League of Legends or Silke in DotA. A change might be to let him only swap allies. That I found interesting, but then the mana and cooldown would have to be changed per what ability is used.
Checkmate is a very potent ability, just swapping between to enemies can make them have huge problems. Or why not swap two allies abilities before the fight starts to surprise the enemies.
I don't want him to be another character that can swap himself to pull in enemies so he cant target himself. And swapping abilities would be to strong in a solo lane fights.
However, the last skill then has to have some use in solo or he wouldn't be able to use his ultimate in solo battles. But it still depending on the enemy it might be to strong. I am thinking e.g what if he faces Mordekasier then he can swap his ultimate. But the thing is, he still also gives all buffs as well making it a very hard decision sometimes. What if the user has blue, do you want to swap away taking damage but give blue away?
Inspiration for the design:
Aadesh is largely based on a figthing game character I designer 1.5 year ago(can be found at my portfolio its the 160 pages document about a fighting game I did last year---).
