Marvel Avengers Alliance: Best Team PvP: Guide for best characters for PvP. Review Blizzard

I will say right away that I have no real interest in reviewing Blizzard, he is such a no body character. Its so dam clear that they just took a random villain to skip doing new sprites and just made up some random stuff.

I never got way do lockbox heroes no one wants, lockbox heroes are the hardest to get and cost the most to buy. But where it made perfect sense with a character like Magneto who both is very popular and many times is portrayed with a very gray sense of morality. Blizzard is just one of those boring henchmen villains. Just that he is never in any media shows that, where popular and well written villains e.g Dr. Doom also guest appears in spider-man tas and so on. Where is Blizzard?

However, I will say that I have always really liked how Marvel Avengers Alliance has these fringe unknown villains as enemies like Jack-O-Lantern and I suppose Blizzard to some degree. But there is no story to really support him being an important shield asset and no drive to unlock him with lockboxes except just having all characters + hes a blaster for the pvp attack bonus.

And that shows, I have yet to ever face a Blizzard in PvP!

I have used him myself leveling him but I have never talked to anyone ever using him nor seen it, hes not very popular nor very good. I am just gonna go over him quickly as he is not strong and he has zero impact on the games meta.

His move are ok(bad) but his passive shows how little effort Playdom put into his design.

Passive:

Blizzards passive is called Cold Reception" and is by far on if not the worst passive in the game!

Horrible, horrible. What it does is just like one of the ice weapon the agent could get from beating him is an ice buff that just makes you think less damage. This damage reduction of course only reduces some attacks and its removed by fire attacks. Its of course also removed by any remove abilities. And as it has to stack up 4 times to do anything noticeable (and even then only against specific characters), its complete garbage.

It does not boost his damage with more stacks and hes not a tank character so taking less damage for a Blaster like him with pure damage abilities really does not do anything. It may very well be the worst passive in the game, only old vanilla characters with no passives at all are worse..as obviously its better then nothing.

Clearly this makes him extremely none viable for PvP right away, having several good passives is standard for PvP and he does not have a passive while being released after season 4(I think around there each character had a passive from suits and all new characters had passives at least 1).

Abilities:

He has decent abilities but its really is like a bad version of Ice man(where he of course also have amazing passives). There is no reason not to use Ice man (or Death) over Blizzard.
Well at least that fits the comic power level.

What he has going for him is that he can dot opponent with ice moves like chilling but also with Bleeding and he have some bleeding exploits so he fits with a bleeding team.

His first move is a standard ice attack that also gives them chilling, the simple damage over time based on ice damage. But, it also stuns opponent who are bleeding. That is actually pretty good then, but to make this effective someone else has to set up the bleeding preferably on all 3 opponents as this is his primary attack(used for counter, follow up etc), hes weak alone simply said.

His second move is where his biggest issue lies, this is his only Bleeding move. And otherwise its a crapy move. IT also break shields and give exposed lowering defence, that is almost useless. And Breaking shield is very limited in the game, that is only useful against a very few teams in the game, which now are even less popular since the invisible women teams seems to be completely gone from the meta.
It also has low base damage, so in practice this is a single target 1 bleed stack move. Which really sucks, this has to be used before his first ability if hes alone on bleeding abilities. And this has to be used 3 times to set up his ultimate if one wants to exploit bleeding. Its bad, really bad.

His third move is ok. It applies frigid canceling QA etc on chilled, which kinda makes him better with Ice Man as a team comp then a bleeder, it also gives flank on everyone and frozen so they cant dodge attacks anymore while also removing the flying passive. This is good because his ultimate is a ground attack with pretty high damage so you can set it up versus everyone with the ultimate. But it does really feel like someone else has to also help with first chilling and then bleeding on turn 1 before him...so yeah, real inefficiency as a character.

Ultimate:

Lastly his ultimate as mention exploits bleeding, chilled and is unblockable as its a ground move. It has high critical and good base damage.
So it does pretty high damage if he gets help with the bleeding, that is absolutely needed. He probably also needs help to chill everyone as the ultimate is aoe. His character is really awfully designed. He has 2 single target set up for his ultimate but its aoe. It would be way better if it did massively more damage to 1 character. There is no way to set up the exploits on all 3 enemies.

Hes by far a bottom tier character.

Verdict:

0/10

Horrible passives, abilities that does not fit together in any efficient way.
Its clear that he was just a filler character they did in 1 day.
