Marvel Avengers Alliance: Best Team PvP Season 21. Guide for best characters for PvP. Review Chase Stein

Chase Stein.

I actually found Chase pretty good character while he seem to have zero popularity what I gather he is really strong in attack.
That being said he is not one of the strongest by far mainly as his 2-4 abilities are all pretty bad. His second is ok as it has disadvantage and flanked, usually a good start move in the game. But the otherwise they suck pretty much,.

Instead its on his first ability a multi-functional one that has 3 different type of attacks with his tech gloves. These 3 different are actually very formidable when used correctly.

They way they wok is that they will debuff an opponent from being able to use certain type of abilities, different then depending on what type of element is picked. And this is really good as he can stop anything, his multi-functional covers all the different type of actions, melee attacks, ranged, buffs etc. So its really easy to stop a character who only has a certain type of attacks from being able to do anything.

It works amazing vs most AI controlled characters they will even refresh most of the time even do they have other moves. For example blocking melee for a character that has 2 melee and 1 ranged attack.  They might refresh instead of using the range attack, he is really good vs all the Molly in defense just block her melee and she wont use her tantrum at all most of the time. Likewise blocking for example Iron patriot from range attack will stop his massive burst attack.

And that is what makes Chase so good, overall this kind of debuffs aren't common and other characters who have them(mainly agent) wont run around with being able to block of all different kinds but 1 of them. Chase can always stop the most dangerous attack from the opponent or prevent the agent from using buffs, which is also extremely useful.

Its a great toolbox move to always being able to stop 1 enemy every turn.

However, his other moves are very lacking. While the second one can be used to faster kill an opponent and also then turn of their class passive its often not as good as blocking of their other moves instead.

His third ability is 100% useless its a subtle move that deals zero damage and just puts on debuffs. The issue here and this is really bad design in my opinion as why would a player ever choose to pick these debuffs over the much better debuffs from the first attack, the second attack also has better debuffs and both of these moves(well 4, if you count the multi as 3) also deal damage. Its just absoutly 100% useless. The debuff is a unique debuff which is a single target attack from Chase, Dinosaur lace but it just deals damage way better to set up flank for other characters in the team + the disadvantage debuff and do damage. And this is mainly if there is a tank in the way otherwise blocking someones move set is likely better. (which i also why the second ability is kinda redundant)

So both his second and third move are just never gonna be used over his first move. Finishing someone off or a tank in the way will open up for the second one while the third is never gonna be used.

His ultimate is at least an Aoe attack and offer something else, but it deals practically zero daamge and just sets up debuffs. Where shell-shock can be good so it has some potential.

Finally his passive makes him counter move sometimes with his first abilities. Which is great as they are the best he got. So again its all about his multi-functional gloves.

In the end it feels like hes a pretty good character but extremely limited to just sit and spam his blockers attack each turn.

6/10. I really feel they could have done more with his other abilities there is almost zero point to ever use them.
