Marvel Avengers Alliance: Best Team PvP season 14, review of new characters. Sunfire, Agent Venom

Sunfire






 I am gonna be pretty quick with Sunfire because I don't find him very interesting,

Passive wise hes like Human Torch but with a worse defence versus flame attacks. Instead he gains attack damage by plasma stacks. He can however, gain 5 stack right away with his ultimate which is a quick action as it gives him a sheild and when its consumed it gives eh stack. And acts like Human torch's ultimate as well....so yeah hes very boring.

He really is like they moved around some moves on Human Torch thats pretty much it. He got exploit on fire and he is a Blaster like Human Torch and then of course that deals damage and so on.
 Well his second attack is much stronger then Human torch as it consumes all the plasma stacks and have boon buster and paragon exploiter( he don't do much debuffs himself but still) so it deals a lot of damage.

His third ability is a really good AoE attack. Which burns everyone and give them pyrophoric which acts like a second dot in a way. So this attack has a very high base damage and it is further boosted by other fire users.

And that is pretty much it. Summarize of Sunfire is that hes decent alone. But what he needs are Human Torch or other fire users to synergies with him.
  Otherwise hes not nearly as strong as the top characters. With a good team he is very strong but he is very, very limited. His abilities need support and he deals damage to everyone with his ulti further supporting using other fire immune people. He also discord with characters who have chill just like Human Torch, not many has that(its like Iceman and Storm) but still further limits his uses.

But he do deal huge amount of damage with the right team(hes a blaster so not very good for defence). Hes a little special in that way. he could be the character in the game that is most significantly boosted by the team he is in.  While he is strong he is also weak then. Lets say that his best team becomes popular in the meta. This would mean its a very heavy fire based team. Its very easy to counter that.


4/10 - Remake of Human Torch

Agent Venom:




Before I go into Agent Venom as a game playable character I want to talk about PvP character rewards.

Agent Venom this is a a tricky pony. Really in more then 1 way to. First we have the comic side of it. I am huge fan of Eddie Brock Venom. I grow up watching the Spider-man TAS over and over again. I really love the Original Venom.  I also like Carnage(big surprise). So its sad we don't get Venom to Marvel Avengers Alliance first we got Mac Gargan Venom(Mac Gargan is otehr wise the old Spider-man enemy Scorpion). Which I commented about why not Eddie or Agent for that matter. Because the storyline that time was out of Agent Venom Comics, Mac Gargan pick was very weird.

SO now we got Agent Venom, which is another very classic Spider-man Villain. Flash "Eugene" Thompson.

I am actually Ok with playing Agent Venom and not Eddie as I have read every issue every month since his comic started. I think I have read all the cross overs with Agent Venom. Flash as Venom has a lot of interesting qualities. I think his comic is a little uneven it has it ups and down biggest issue is more that he faces the drop out villains from Spider-man pretty much or other heroes in New York in the start of the comic. The version of Jack o Lanter is great. But the other villains are pretty much eeeh. So were Agent shines the best to me are in like Thunderbolts and other comics of crossover. But I do like Flash with his remorse etc. But I think they have to kinda evulate his enemies in the comics.

That had nothing to do with the game but that being said I do think that Agent Venom was a good PvP Reward. Because PvP rewards are mainly Mercenaries. And the start was Uncanny X-force characters and then Thunderbolts(new Thunderbolts). Were Flash was the last of the big names(I mean they are other characters in the New Thunderbolts but they not very reasonable).
 I say this both because it makes me enjoy Agent Venom but also how much I hate Hogun.

I just want to point out how absolutely it makes no sense adding Hogun into the game especially as a PvP reward. I would not be surprised if the coming PvP Final Day will be far easier as its a bad weapon. Super unknown uninterestingly character reward and the worst power suit(Blaster for AI).

 I just do not understand Hogun on any level. The Movie Thor 2 Dark World has already been released sure it has it s DvD release soon but I doubt Hogun will draw attention to that. Hes barely in the movie for that matter. He and the other warrior 2 had a comic for them self for what? Like 3-4 issues or something.
 Completely uknow and no relation for any real commercialization. Furthermore, hes boring as hell. Really, Really uncreative character design. He got 2 classes(not new at all would be interesting when the game was released way back). Ability that boost those classes so thats basically double passive. And then eh hits hard. To me its look like they had no idea what to give their next character and just put Hogun together.

There are soooooo many characters I rather see then Hogun. There are so many otehr untouched characters really. Like Nico Minoru was a great addition because it made us move towards otehr comics in her case Runaways. I talked about Hogun with a lot of people and many wants to see space characters now. Nova, Silver surfer, one of the guardian of galaxy and so on. Personally I don't think anyone would fit PvP reward but I take them any day over Hogun.
 If we go back to Agent Venom I rather get Scarlet Spider-man(Kaine which has his own comic too) even do I just got Agent Venom. Then to get Hogun.
 He as a character makes no sense, and he is obviously a foretelling its gonna be 2 more useless side characters from the Thor universe.
 But the worst thing really is that he should have been a pure buy for CP. NOT 90 CP but he would been because he would be new.
 Absolutely does not fit the PvP rewards.
 Shatterstar was kinda iffy but the rest of the characters has been characters from the X-force and Thunderbolts who also crossover with characters as Deadpool is in both. Then Cable Deadpool is of course a classic comic and also now Cable has is own X-force with Domino in it. All the characters are about that mercenary kinda thing. Juggernaut was not a pvp reward but a pvp box reward however he was in the old Thunderbolts so that is coming back to that. That's why I was thinking if I was working at Playdom I would probably add something like Songbird/Screaming Mimi or some other Thunderbolt. I would first of all have had Moonstone as a Lockbox for PvP and not a lockbox for PvE.
 If not Songbird maybe Penance, Boomerang etc I rather take freaking Trickshot which would just be like an evil improved version of Hawkeye.
 Or I would get of this Thunderbolt reference thing all together and go to some other comic area for characters but still introduce more anti heroes. I can see characters like Hyperion or The Sentry being PvP rewards or more classic Weapon X guys like Maverick and so on.
 Long point is Hogun is not at all a PvP reward which I think people will fight for.

Back to the actual topic of the newest PvP reward.

First of all Agent Venom has 2 classes.

Agent Venom is an infiltrator. But when he takes damages or if the allies does etc. He can turn into the more Eddie Brook Venom appearance. Much more brutish etc. Then he turns into a Bruiser.

This is kinda like Moon Knight but arguably with more control. Its kinda annoying playing with as sometimes you do want the Bruiser or vice versa.

 But what Agent Venom has its really a 2 character in one were he synergies with himself.
 His Agent form sets up debuff etc and then his Venom form will deal extra damage.

I want to say this right away. Sure Agent Venom is quite hard to play he changes class uncontrollable he might also change back to infiltrator when you wanted to keep his Venom form. He is also sometimes attacking who ever he wants so hes quite hard to control as you want. Which I of course cant condone for a pvp strategy.
 BUT(ofc its a but after that) he is so dam strong. Were Domino had great abilities but low, very low base damage on her attacks. Venom has huge base damage with both paragon and opportunity exploit.

 His third ability as Venom gives him the scrapper passive as buff which is fine to have his weakness is that its really nice to have that since turn 1 but its luck to get there. However,m he do have really good attacks in both forms. His Agent has the not so unique power of disadvantage which was Domino's selling point and she had it for 1 whole season yeeeeh.
 As I gone over with her. Disadvantage is a great debuff one of the top in the game. And because Agent has this he can protect himself as well from the class minus of having 2 classes which Moon Knight and mockingbird cant. 

Agent Venom really has surprisingly strong damage output.
If there is one move that is really strong it is his ultimate in the venom form. It has both of the exploitation of attraction and boom buster which exploits buffed targets. And it also has exploit protection which can be good versus agents so it has some value.
 While Boom Buster is contra productive versus paragon, and Agent Form sets up paragon with Pressure point. Venom got all the exploit stuff. So no matter what happens he can deal huge damage.

Also while I dislike the whole uncontrolled luck based class swapping he does it between 2 good class combos the infiltrator which is a great class with so many tactician and overall counters are pretty good(and 30% extra damage for Venom sometimes). Bruiser the best class who is good versus the Scrapper, which the Infiltrator might have issues with.
 I would say that this class combo or scrapper/Tactician is the best one you can have.

And when comparing him to Moon knight which conceptually is similar to play. All Venoms moves are strong, good moves a lot of debuffs with decent damage as Agent. Huge Damage as Venom with a lot of different moves that pretty much covers any situation.
 He ends up with big utility box. Good stats, A passive which haven't analyzed but its the classic healing passive- Heal and maybe resurrect with low %. He do have the weakness to fire and sonic attack which is great comic wise but feels kinda weird at first game balance wise. But hes heal is really high with abilities so I think its fine as long as everyone don't start playing the Sunfire teams.

I have to say the recent PvP character has been really good(further hatred towards HOGUN-------)

Agent Venom is nice, I love his coherent skills with the comics. I love that they kept the Fire/sonic weakness. I like how his class mix makes sense.  I would give him a 10 if it where it not for the luck based passive.

Marvel Avengers Alliance: Best Team PvP season 14, review of new characters. The Horsemen, Pestilence, Famine, War

I am gonna do Death(Iceman) later(mine is only level 5 now) but when it comes to that alt suit I think we can all agree that is very clear that Death is better then normal Iceman. Clearly massively improves his first 3 abilities and with an extra passive.
 So I am probably gonna refer to Death as Iceman.

And this is also true for X-23, Laura as War. And why I can say right away shes the best alt suit of the 3. Famine is also better but not 100% as with War.

And before I go into each specific alt suit. I wanted it on the record that I really, really dislike the characters they gave Horsemen suits, why not give it to some of the classic Apocalypse Horseman? Angel already had his but they are many more which would make more sense then these 3.
 While Beast desperately needed a buff, when I head he was getting an alt suit for this special operation. I was thinking "ah hes getting the Dark Beast look" the alternative version of Beast who is Evil from the Age of Apocalypse marvel universe (AoA, Earth-295) that made no sense to me that they give him the Pestilence suit over a Dark Beast suit. Well yes, the Dark Beast would require less work to just dye him black but at least it would suit the storyline better to. They have Suger Man so why not Dark Beast joining in for this special operation of marvel avengers alliance.


Pestilence:
 
This is the alt I was hoping for

Like I said at the start, Laura is the one whit a clear cut better abilities. Beast or Pestilence, is 2 different characters. He got the most changes and he is not clearly 100% better. He is better no doubt, but I mean he does lose some of his abilities. Were Iceman as Death also losses his ultimate for another one(I am not on 9 with him yet but the Iceman looks better then Death), in beast case is a lot of new character feel to it with some of his old moves left.

So were Angel and his Archangel(Death/new apocalypse form) form its all new abilities making him a completely different character all together. Pestilence is a a mix of improved older abilities and 2 new abilities. So he will spot a his one place in the tier list for example but hes is also very similar.
 If Playdom had notjust severely nerfed Pestilence then I would say, never take Beast. But right now its that Pestilence has 2 improved ability over Beast, and one other ability and he cant use his second ability in PvP...its just completely useless.

The second ability is really good and was definitely what made him be viable. But Playdom nerfed it to be 3 turn cooldown from the start....they claim this was to make it easier in PvE....but I would believe its the classic. Release a character "overpowered" and then nerf as soon as enough people have bought him(now I would buy him regardless for the better pvp bonus of Tactician>Generalist) but to me it looks like a classic cheap trick from a game developer.
 Anyway the result is that Pestilence is not so great. Because his second ability is the best he got, At Mountain of Madness which gives all enemies both mind control and Fumbling + its sbutitle so he cant get countered etc.
 It also combos with the Teast Passive Catch-22. Which is that Beast gains increased attack when he dont attacks. And yes I am writing Beast here to be deliberately confusing. Beast has this passive and Pestilence as well. But without having the second ability. There is no way Pestilence is ever gonna have a use of Catch-22.
 The way Beast Utilize Catch-22 is with his second ability War and Peace. Pestilence clearly got a vastly improved version of War and Peace in, At the Mountain of Madness. Not in all situations but generally, funny enough is that War and Peace is better the less enemies are left and with a whooping 3 turns start cooldown its clear that War and Peace will in many cases be better to have after those 3 turns has passed. Its also ofc better to have it then nothing. And as I mentioned thats the why you use Catch-22.
 Right now there is no point not doing anything with Pestilence to get the passive effect. That's less damage then attacking with the first or his ultimate ability.

The thing with Pestilence is that his third ability is pretty much shit in defence AI. Its horrible there is no way in hell the AI will use that efficiently. You give the enemy Iso contagion which they can spread back much smarter then the AI. Sure Pestilence do have the reduction of dot passive but it also gives a lot of debuffs and many players use Sheppard staff you wont win much with that.

The good thing with Pestilence is the his 2 improved abilities, one does more damage the otehr one adds in nanoplauge which is definitely a good debuff.
 Pestilence strength really lies in his passives, the first one  both slam backs dots and debuffs to the enemies, and as mentioned reduces damage taken.

But the best is Paradise lost his second new passive that removes the ability to remove debuffs and dots. This passive clearly really hard counter some support characters like for example Rescue and then combine with this nanoplauge attack(which also his is primary attack,counters with it etc). Thats gonna completely remove her from the game. This is same for Angel and so on.
 MOST IMPORTANTLY::: it overrides scroll of angolob. Its like the only thing in the game right now that the scroll cant remove. And of course then he can also prevents the Agent from healing with the cube with his nanoplauge, hes one of the few characters in the game that really can mess with the current Agent meta items.
 At first glance, he definitely counters scroll of angolob. But -_- when the game turns a litlle longer like turn 4. Because of his own ability of spreading decease. A cube player will instantly kill him and his allies with the atomic smasher. Also of course other paragon/opportunity characters completely devastates a Pestilence for the most time. But especially the Agent.

Bottom line is that Pestilence is not very good, if he still had the second ability. Then he could be something because not being able to remove mind control especially made it strong. Right now its just to spam AoE attacks against him and his team dies faster thanks to him.

 Another issue that a lot of people seems to put themself in are playing Pestilence(this is true regardless of the second ability). With a redundant team mates like Famine. Famine passive is basically a shitty version of Pestilence combining her with him does nothing really. There is some other weird Pestilence team going around. The much more reasonable teams with him are either exploiters or heavy dot/debuff characters and of course a character like Satana were you actually gain stats from his iso contagion.
 What is really important to pick up here is that he performs very bad in defence is much easier to spread it back the AI will not do this stuff correctly.


Famine:





 This would be a more reasonable Famine. Rouge Famine is just her abilities in the comics..

Famine is Rouges new form then. She is better but not by much. 

However, first of all she has 2 different passive and hone passive both her suits got.
 So first she got Scarcity which is like Rescue but instead of removing a debuff she removes a buff from the opponent team at random. (OK old Recuse, because they were stupid enough to nerf Rescue of all characters now she got 70% to do this LoL).

Thats a pretty bad passive. It does not give much. Most support characters throws a big number of buffs out there getting the most valuable one is low chance and other teams with low number of buffs often then have buffs who has a little effect for them removing that dont mean much. And of course many characters and the agent has buffs that are passive and regains up again fast like the war buff.

The second passive she has is different depending on her suit. First of all Playdom did a mistake here. Somehow they should show it on her which passive she got. She now has 2 different generalist suits with different passive then there is no way of telling which one it is. Yes you can mouse over here. But it should be some faster indication.
 Anyway. You either get the Blaster, that she crits all the time and ignore defense or the infiltrator which gives 30% more damage and counter.
 The infiltrator is much stronger.

 Update: By playing more games I have now seen in one game were scroll of angolob in both cases has been able to remove her passive(counter one) and the next game not. Playdom mix between using the blue/green/gray box of passive/buff thing etc. Its wierd I dont know waht they have intended with this passive but as its onyl the first 2 turns I think it should be removale.
 SideNoteUpdate: War is even better then what I thought she was at first, especially her Snikt can completely ruin it for an agent and thats even when the AI uses her. She turns of both cube and scrolls. Even if Famine cant lose her passive, War is regardless much better. And Pestilence got a much better passive then Famine(so still War-Pestilence-Famine).

 But honestly they are both pretty bad. They have the same weird passive system like Kitty Pride for example. At first glance it might look like Famine got a Grey Widow passive. Absolutely not.
 This passive is a buff like WW2 and so on. SO it can be removed. If the Agent then starts she/he will likely just remove it right away. Or any other character with removal/soulfire etc.

Its really bad passive it will be very likely be removed in one turn.

Both her passive are shit.

However, all her moves are better. And Rouge recently got nerfed, well her nerf was more on the turns she could take. Its clearly(to me at least) that old Rouge is better then current Famine. Old Rouge had the potential to dish out really high damage fast in some situations. Famine just reduces the enemies stats pretty much.

 Famine is better then Rouge, no questions. She got the + passive of removal. And the other passive which will likely be removed but it still there.
 Then all her abilities will debuff the enemies more. While doing the same damage so shes better. But not extremely much better.
 First one gets wither which is an indifferent boost.
 Her second ability gets the biggest boost as it gains disadvantage the "unique" debuff of Domino.
 I really like this with Famine. This is how Rouge should have been from the start.
  Absorb class now takes away the enemies class and give it to Famine instead of just giving Rogue the class.
 That's very nice.
 Absorb class also has reduced potential which is an overall reduction in stats not very good. It do stacks up. And her third ability also have this.

So really, her first and her third ability they are better but not very significant better.
 Actually her third ability does less damage as Famine. The others do the same.

Then her ultimate now debuffs with prevent random abilities. Which is like.....Agent Cube its very limited and not very useful.

Summarized of Famine:
 Better then Rouge, with some added debuffs most noticeable with her second ability Absorb class.
 More Passive, but they don't do much but better then nothing.



War:

Alexander Summers (Earth-295)

I can almost give them this there are not many good War candidates but there still playable character that has been war like Havok. (They could also gone with the path of making another alt suit to Hulk, give him the War suit...and the same passive like world war hulk. Because that would be creative.)

So Pestilence is interesting but has already been nerfed so not much hope there. Famine is better but not enough to really make a difference.

 War on the other hand is sick. She is just better and better. She boring as hell. Famine has streaks of boredom but it feels right that she now also reduces other people. Famine is more like, this is how Rouge should have been in the first place.
 War is X-23 with just purely increased abilities.
 They all deal the same damage but with more effects and she got a good passive.

Laura was already a good character a top character. I am not saying that she is obviously number 1 now. its more like this, if she was 60, 40 against X. She is now at least 65 35 kinda like that clearly he is top top character now.
 Some people now say, "Oh X-23 is finally playable" but thats just bullshit she always been very very good. I got adamantium with her and Emma Frost 2 season in a row. Then I got tired of using that team. Season 7 and 8 I think it was.

War is just better then. One that thing right away that War does much better is tactually AI defence. Which is a big thing because its hard to get any good AI characters. I am not saying shes the best with the AI but War Vs X-23 has a huge advantage. But I take it in order of abilities.

Her first ability as War now actually adds in an unique debuff Blind Rage. Which makes the person be unable to use defense actions or use buff abilities. That is really good against some characters. Its just really unnecessary for War to have this but she does. And on her primary attack. The base of htsi attack is a classic bleed+ ravage, shred if they cannot bleed. Thats a good base move. So now it has Blind Rage and also it has pain(take more damage) not a very good debuff but better.

War's second ability is were I get really existed. The way you should play Laura is pretty much just spanming Blades of Rage. When she does this move she can trigger her berserker on everyone and then she does her primary attack(Snikt) on everyone. This does not happen all the time but its kinda what you are aiming for when playing her. Then after that you get everyone down a lot you finish someone of with the third ability.
 This is because the third is set up by the bleeding effect. But with War, it is set up even better.
 As war got pain on this move as well you can stack up at least 2 pain + 2 bleeding on one target most of the time to later easily kill of.
 But what is actually really good with War version of Blades of Rages is that it now has Ravaged. This means that for sure you will give everyone bleeding + the ravage debuff. This helps out greatly if she does not extend her attacks. This helps out any other bleeding team mate(she has 2 main bleed combos in Wolverine and Sabretooth).

War third ability is not much better. Its the same thing but added in paragon exploit. While this as mentioned is her finishing move as it also has high critical and exploit bleed. So obviously now it has the chance to deal even more damage. But then someone else has to set it up for War. Its more situational based on team synergy and turn order etc. But of course its better and with the right things going its really easy to kill someone with this ability.

Ok so I started out saying AI WAR GOOD. the reason why is her ultimate.

There is only one thing added to the ultimate but it makes the AI so much better with it. And that is Stealth. As X-23 has an assassin ability the AI is stupid and try to use it on enemy X with 20% hp. But then enemy Y has protect and the result is that X-23 does like 1% damage to Y. Now this ability is pretty much exactly like Elektra's ultimate. And in this case the AI will hit X instead.Its of course better when you control it to. The AI cant screw it up at least.

Its also interacts with the trigger scent the debuff she puts on them making the tank her attacks which is a huge drawback when you want to assassinate well not when its stealthy. This is quite the improvement.
 Personally when I play with X-23 there are many times I just use Blades of Rages even when someone will die from Assassinate as I then can deal more AoE damage and later finish them all with for example Emma then. So I cant say its an amazing buff attack wise. But defence wise for the AI oh yes its vastly improved.


We have not looked into War's extra passive. Mainly because shes boring and more boring. I can see the work flow at Playdom, they put some intern on this character. He want to take a break and drink some coffee. So hes like". mmm aaa I just add in pain on her stuff, mmm some more ravaged thats kinda bleeding right,,, the ultimate well I guess I can just copy Elektras, Elektra was already a copy of X-23 so. Good I am not really in the mood for this right now what the hell should I give her ultimate. The other got some new stuff but I just dont care for X-23.. nma ..a I know her name is War right. I just give her the War passive. Great work complete".

 That's pretty much how they do every character. So she got the world war hulk/war axe passive. Which is one of the strongest passive in the game. Boosting attack is by far better then boosting defence etc. War boost it more then the strength buff. And like with waraxe and hulk if removed this will be increased again when attacked etc. Were For example with Thor he has recast the strength buff. And it also boosts Accuracy increasing Cit chance(and lowering miss chance but you will miss anyway tx to passive like the cube).

Its a very strong passive and works good with War both as she is a high damage dealer and as she can survive for a long time and take damage she can get into this sitoutatiuon where she is in a 1v1 and then she will gain the stacks.
 Boring and uncreative but a great passive.

The biggest issue I have with it is using waraxe is a staple for my Agent so I hav a hard time thinking on what I would replace it with.

If you don't have waraxe, which i hope most has getting War is really a no-brainer. (Note The bruiser suit--- the scrapper suit I see no use for pvp stat wise it gives a worse stats and War is still about spamming the AoE attack to start with. Enrage is better her stealth attack is a horrible first attack followed by snikt so no value for a scrapper there).




Summarize of Horseman of Apocalypse:
 War>Famine>Pestilence.
 War as Bruiser
Famine as Infiltrator Generalist
 Pestilence as Tactician (both better stats and he got a stealth attack so thats great as a tactician and pointless as an Infiltrator)

 If you have a  lot of CP I would say Pestilence first for the bonus. Famine is bottom she is not fantastic strong and gives no change to your pvp bonus.

Marvel Avengers Allianc: Honored PvP Rewards?

So I haven't really written any recap/Reflection etc of season 13. Mainly as I was not playing it the last days at all. Both because of the "honorary" and because I was away.

Also.....I quickly logged in last Tuesday to check were my defence team landed me took the pictures of Agent Venoms recruitment, but of course I was to lazy to mail my the images and later that day my laptop crashed completely.





-_- The screen actually was stuck on the first that appearers and I dried everything, opening etc. And after that I accidentally stepped on it....which unfortunately did not help.

Anyway, this made me lose the Venom images.

Unfortunately I cant test the Playdom promise of rewards. Lose, Win situation.You can write to me(I know some have trough facebook already) how the reward handing out is going, then I can change my last article slightly. Well, even if everything fixed it self. That extension truly send just pure agony into my body. It was just really bad regardless and why I still think the player should have gotten more then just the rewards,(50 energy does not count as I got 700 or something, so 50+ means nothing).


Ok quick reflection. My defence team that got me Adamantium was Magneto and Emma Frost my old classic team, like any other game reliably strategies is what matters. All the new fancy suits or new characters don't matter if they don't measure up to old Overpowered characters. 

-Agent Venom is as I expected decent. He relies a little on to much luck to change form so he does not feel very relaibe. Btw, he changes from Inflitrator to Brusier when he goes into out of control.

 His damage is really high when out of control so might have some potential.

Marvel Avenger Alliance wins this years award for the worst Player versus Player(PvP) system, 2014 Apex of Disappointment: Tournament Extended

 I explained why Marvel Avengers System is so bad, and now Playdom have managed to out class themselves and won the award for worst PvP system of 2014 to (when its only in January).

By extending the time of the tournament when its only a 30 minutes left.....

Side Note: .... I wake up now to also realize I won’t be home from monday-wensday so yeah I won’t really be able to get Venom.....it’s also fun how they think that well u get 35 CP be happy. I got a lot of CP, every character and almost all alt suits. CP has no meaning. If I had known it would end of next Monday earlier I would have booked from Tuesday instead. Obviously taking more then 1 day of in such close time frame in impossible for most people.


OK the issue here is not only that Playdom has proven themselves to be completely utterly incompetent.
 Look at my old list of issues in the game. 4 has been "fixed", 4 of 9 issues I listed and the game had more issues.(HAS more issues.....)

The real issue is that they managed to actually disappoint me. I am not angry or sad etc. I am actually more amused right now then mad.
 I think this is the true shared emotion from the users, disappointment. This is a much worse feeling then for example anger.

The background for this game and the company is that the users can’t really expect anything worse to happen.
 The game has been riddled with bugs from day 1 which are never fixed, cheaters, glitched,abuses,game crashes, horrible retarded system of PvP etc the list is long.

 And they have often introduced new Special operation season (new weapons/characters) in the end to both cause more bug issues etc and more unbalanced very often.

There is a lot of issues bottom line. And then they got a horrible customer support service, money greedy schemes and so on.

On my personal note is that they also clearly have bad game designers who don’t know how to balance the game and keep introducing characters with meaningless abilities, their monetizing expert does a bad job in what to have on sale etc, I just don’t have any respect for the people working there at all. Especially not for their QA Staff which I can only assume is none existing (would I do a better job in any of these fields, yes 100% absolutely sure on that but that’s another post)

So what it boils down to is an extremely low opening about Playdom.

It’s like Judas in the Bible. I hate Judas, you Hate Judas. Let say that there is a lost page out of the Bible found (humor me). What would that page have to say to make you hate Judas more? It would have to say something extreme, something so profound. It’s impossible pretty much.

When I look at Playdom its a company I definitely think is one of the worst game companies right. And in several categories.

 So to be able to disappoint me, its actually impressive. What they did with this PvP season its amazed me, it baffles me. Its like the worst decision made in Game history. At least if we look at these smaller like game changes. Not like when Nintendo tried with Virtua Boy(but that’s more of a hardware fail).

 Right now its more funny then sad. Because its funny sad right. It feels like they were sitting down and thinking, how can we become more hated. How can we lose more customers.

At this moment it was just WTF and the hate storm that followed on Twitter etc was amusing and justified(if anything people should be more angry).
 But as I mentioned I am more amazed of the absolute, trait of obliviousness of Playdom.

The most now how their retarded system works. 
 The system fundamentally is horrible, as it only take in to account. The player’s current rating at the last second already here it’s stupid. 
 The effect is of people having to sit and play the game nonstop the last hours.

To make it worse and absolutely reaching more top of retardation. They have placed the end on Monday/Tuesday depending on Time zones. As they most know, for some users it’s in the middle of the night(like for me) so why can’t they at least end it on a Saturday? If they are going to extend it now why 7 days again? Do they just hate people who lives outside of the Us that much?
 There is absolutely no reason to end it on Mondays or any workday for that matter(yes they might make more money but I would argue that as people who can’t play that day they won’t even bother ergo, no income from them).

Having this system, people take their time of work or other similar things to be able to play in this horrid gameplay experience. They seem to be completely oblivious to this fact.

Another thing I just don’t fucking buy, to be frank. Is that it supposed to be about BALANCE? It’s supposed to because of Deadpool with Frenzy? If this is true they just proven yet again that they have no intelligence what so ever.
 First of all Deadpool with Frenzy is still a bad character, I even wrote to a friend during the crunch hours, "Why do I face these 60x64 gold guys with Deadpool, they just waste their money he’s so easy to beat even do they got good stats". 
 If anything it was balanced he had Frenzy, he needs it to be playable.

Secondly, this is where one of the reasons of disappointment comes from. How many seasons have not have super overly unbalanced characters or glitched characters which were used. How many seasons should not have been extended if we follow the balance argument from Playdom. It makes absolutely no sense what so ever. To claim they have to extend because of balance. It is so extremely unpredictable for a seasoned user, and thereby an extreme confusion, which led to this baffling disappointment.


To claim balance just utterly proves how incompetent they are. Here is a few characters who has not worked as intended and giving the people who used them extreme advantage over what they should do. Yet it was never extended for them:

Black  Widow. Her stun would hit even do the attack missed, this included phased characters.
Colossus: His passive would trigger constantly in defence AFK with enough high stat he was almost impossible to kill.

Daredevil and Dr.Strange were both hard nerfed ? why no extension for that.

Human Torch, has had several bugs......

Kitty: When they changed how Phased works, Kitty's start Phase buff from her suit still had the same old effect while her attack gave her another Phased buff....this was really huge error and did not cause an Extension.

Luke Cage: Is unplayable? If BALANCE is to cause extension, extend and make him Playable Playdom.

Phoenix,.......................There was this amazing bug with Phoenix were she would trigger her passive resurrect if someone of the enemy died. If it was 2 Phoenix and even worse with Valkyrie on the same time the game was truly fucked up. Basically whole season 3 was to make sure you triggered your own Phoenix ultimate first, by for example killing one of their characters.
 Phoenix has also been able to resurrect everyone with more than 1% hp...Overall why does she save people from AoE?
 If  2 Phoenix were in the game they would both give life to one character so it would end on 50% it was possible to kill 3 characters and having them back and 50% but also to have them at different life such as killing 3 and get 1 at 50% one at 75% and one and 1% etc.
 There were many issues, needless to say if anything should cause them to extend it was this. Still they did not.

Spider-man, in season 1 he was impossible to die with.

Thor::: is he bugged right now? Why can’t his stack of Mjolnir be removed, this is much more game breaking then Deadpool.

Mockingbird....................she was bugged to a level of Phoenix. She could gain like 10 turns in 1 turn. No Joke. If for example she attacked a Tactician, become an Infiltrator and Gambit and Human Torch would attack her with their passive, yes their passive (card and bugs) she would gain 2 more turns....then this could be repeated. She could literally have infinitive amount of turns.
 But that was apparently fine.

Scarlet Witch. Before if she reached time to her ultimate. The game was over.

Emma Frost BROKEN. Also she would always stun as they had programed her wrong.

Rouge: gaining 3 turns by herself the first turn...

Quicksilver... so many issues with his time attack.

Deadpool: Apparently Deadpool becoming playable was not ok

Hercules: Could block stuff he should not be able to, which made him a really good tank for a while.

Ghost Rider: could survive death 10 times in a row at 1% hp and win games alone versus 3.

CABLE:::::::: was so broken the game would crash if he got stuck by different abilities. . Also he would shot himself by avengers or Psylocke coordination. He if anyone should have forced and extension as some people were using him to crash they attackers game client.

Valkyrie: had Several resurrection issues.

Psylocke: had like 100% chance to coordinate was completely broken her first season and when only 0.5% had her.

Punisher, had and has a lot of AI issues.

Captain Britannia: This one--- this one. IF there is any character that worked overly to good. Because of a glitch it’s Cap B. He had the ability to do his AoE stun everyone and get at least 1 more turn right away. He was played like 90% of the games then after he got “fixed” to how he was supposed to work he is never played never. I mean Really if any character was overly used because of a glitch making him to good its Cap B. If the game is supposed to be fair it absolutely should have been some kind of extension when Cap B was new.

Spiral: Is bugged in her favor same for other avoidance % characters as I have noted on her review.
Agent Venom: says 6 days left when he should be unlocked.

Union Jack could instantly kill everyone if you used hotshot that was fun. 

And then of course there is a lot of more characters who are underpowered, as they are just so weak and should be balanced.

Lastly. We are dealing with a big brand here. Marvel. Am I the only one, who not only will never pay for anything in Marvel Avengers Alliance(For obvious reason) but also considering to stop paying for other Marvel and in extension Disney products?

Marvel Avengers Allience PvP Tier List Season 13




Season 13, Top 20.

Unexpectedly--- everything stays the same.
 No but I mean again the game adds in new cahracters who know of them deal with the best characters in the meta, then the best characters will stay at the top(I am looking at you Emma, mainly becuase you always go around in you underwear but, also because of this). This reminds me people should go and read the webcomic Menage à 3, and its spin offs.

 I honestly don't feel this season brings any new to the table.
 I have not once seen Domino in Defence even do shes bad ass, no one I have talked to have either. Same with Spiral(who is also bad ass especially in Defence), well I saw one person using Spiral last season and fighting him like 10x times so I saw her a little but not once this season and it seems to be the same for other people.
 
 The only new character that sporadically
appears is Nico Minoru, but shes so fragile and as her strength lies in good use of her abilities in the right order she performs really bad in defence.

 The main new thing in the meta is the gray hulks that seem to take up some % of the meta teams at least.
 But thats not very strange as new is always better. Note that tier list wise Gray hulk is weaker then the otehr suits so hes not increased in power at all. That suit is so bad in the meta, it does nto work against psychic or all the stealth moves etc.
 Hes not very good and likely no one will play him next season.

 I will try to come back at some "meta" defining changes/new things. After Monday.
