So I been going over the big mom orphanage kids in the latest chapter.
I think they are some clear hints to who is the father to her different kids.
First we have this image of a bunch of rascals. All clearly destined to be pirates and it make sense (so far unless she kill them all in the next chapter) that they would join Linlin to go out in the world.
The most obvious connection is this women in a panda suit
As we got a panda suited kid behind mother Caramel.
They are clearly related.
Then I am guessing that Charlotte Mont-d'Or but that for me is just a guess.
More importantly I believe that Perospero father is the kid with a similar personality to him and they do share the same lips and overall body shape. And color scheme of their clothes are somewhat similar as well.
Then I think its Daifuku´s father in the small picture of all the kids, they share the same buzz-cut. They both got the same striped clothes(shoulder on Daifuku, t-shirt on the kid in the flashback)
Ok now lets get to the good stuff its 2 kids who are more prominently features in the flashback.
This a little edgier kid, who got a scare on his face and a feather shoulder outfit. I would guess is no other then
Katakuris Father. Same hair, color, similar design and that kid has the most panels. Makes sense he would be father to a commander.
Lastly we got the other kid with more panels.
The prince, which obviously then would be the father of Cracker.
They go the same eye pupills, ring then a pupil and a similar hair color. Cracker hates direct physical damage, which would fit his noble prince father who seems to be scare of direct confronts in the flashback.
Why does the spin off to Naruto about his son fall completely flat, well let me explain about how they miss out on any kind of back story and forgetting about what made the beginning of Naruto Great.
So Loot Crate asked me to design and create my own Dream Loot Crate.
As I dabble into all the sides of pop culture, games, comics and anime/manga I wanted a Theme that could cover across everything.
My first thought right away was that I had to get Marvel´s Taskmaster the masters of task into the crate, he needs more love and respect.
From this I was thinking what could the theme be? If you do not know how Taskmaster works he has the power of Photographic reflexes which means he can learn anything from seeing it once. This makes him an excellent villain who can copy all the good guys and of course we can easily find similar powers like e.g anyone from the Uchiha family in Naruto, So that would be an easy Theme, but I been thinking for a while is the power really why I like Taskmaster so much, while it does feel like relateable power to me in real life.
But what he truly is about is his realistic and pragmatic view of being a villain.
And that is why my theme is
Realistic Pragmatic Villains
This is not about anti-heroes or anti-villains etc this is about Villains who now their limitations and who acts like a real person would, but with super powers and with an evil/selfish agenda.
See I am so tired of the classic, super intelligent villain with great powers but they cannot think out the simplest reasonable plan to beat the good guys. I want a theme about villains that makes some god dam sense (ignoring what their actual powers are if any).
This is Taskmasters aka Tony Masters (yeah named for destiny) first appearance (The Avengers vol. 1 #195 (May 1980)). And this is the villains I hope we all can look up to.
Look how he easily defeats Captain America and Iron Man single-handily (yes this is canon, he easily beats them!).
BUT! He does not try to stay and fight the rest of the avengers, where Ultron or Kang would get hybris and laugh at how easily they could beat Cap and Iron Man, they will always stay and FAIL versus the rest of the good guys.
This is where Taskmaster show he is a true genius intellect. Also note that of course he is considering that this could be his chance to kill the famous heroes and become famous, he is evil and greedy after all. This theme is about relateable villains that displays realistic behavior mainly through pragmatic view of the world.
Taskmaster is a villain who have always managed to escape prison as if he ever loses to the good guys he simply joins them as a shield agent, he has made sure that both Nick Fury and The Red Skulle has is back.
He also goes for the path with least resistance, he mainly works as a trainer for Red Skulle henchmen or as a shield agent trainer, this results in him being a millionaire, while staying completely out of the chance of getting injured, be imprisoned etc. He further, also uses his power to be good at sports, cooking, gambling or normal jobs, e.g being a star quarterback. Basically he uses his powers like a sane person would. Trying to just have a comfortable live as possible. (Probably why he works as Deadpool´s best friend/Rival as he is the opposite of Deadpool´s uncontrolled insanity)
So know when you as me know how cool Taskmaster is and lets not talk about his retcon, that never happened.
The item we want for Taskmaster is a T-Shirt so we can walk around showing that we know what a good villain is.
Item 1: T-Shirt with Taskmaster (Marvel)
This is probably what I would go for or any of the Udon comics when he has a more slim look without the cloak e.g
Item 2: Pod Head With Doflamingo Donquixote (One Piece).
Doflmaningo like Taskmaster likes to play both sides, he knows he is not the strongest character in the One Piece world. And he makes sure to be protected by both the Yonkou Kaido and by the world government by their admirals, he has achieved his dream of being the a god of his own country and he knows not to underestimate Luffy and the other main characters. He is actually the only villain so far to plan ahead and he actually believes the Strawhats to be a treat, on the same time he is also shows a clear pragmatic understanding of moral and ethics, in his classic speech where he declares that how the winner is always justice, how Pirates or the Navy are the good guys depending on who wins and he makes sure to be in the middle so he can easily pick the wining side.
Doflamingo simply is an actual intelligent villain. What makes him so interesting is that he is clearly an insane megalomaniac but he is still very aware of his own strength and the others strength of the universe he lives in. He has basically managed to ally himself with everyone who has any power in the One Piece world. And even with all of that he has continuation plans, its actually quite ridiculous how over prepared he is to fight the heroes, almost like he knew he was gonna have to fight the main character of the story hes life takes place in. (he also has managed to have a backstory that actually makes complete sense on why he is like he is, his motivation etc)
It already exist 4 Pop Head of One Piece Characters. But they are all good guys
And Doflamingo´s evil grin is the perfect Pop head art.
Item 3: Poster art by Akihiko Yoshida
Time for some gaming culture, who is Akihiko Yoshida? He is the man behind art from Ogre Battle all the Ivalice art(FFT,Vagrant Story, FF12 etc) to latest Nier:automata.
For example this modern classic art is made by him with B2,9s and A2:
While Nier, for sure had a a lot of moral ambiguity this about villains right, you know what classic games you where kinda the villain. The classic Tactics Ogre let us cling toghter.
In Tactics Ogre everyone was fighting everyone, no one of the evil guys where really evil, depending on your decision you would either fight your best friend and former leader while for the masses of the game you where the evil person, or you could join them because they where not truly evil. Well basically all the Yasumi Matsuno games are crazy political dramas so everyone is kinda evil, everyone is kinda of a villain and everyone kinda makes sense.
This classic art from Tactics ogre: Let us cling together by Akihiko Yoshida show casing a bunch of kinda villainous character.
4 Item: Landscape Crate Art by Akihiko Yoshida
So as a side note I would also illustrate the inside crate box art with some inspiration by Akihiko Yoshida many amazing landscape art.
Item 5: Wesker´s Glasses (Resident evil)
While we are at game characters, lets not forget Albert Wesker
So suddenly you live in a Zombie apocalypse. What is the best solution hide away and hope you survive for a while? Or turn yourself into a human with zombie powers, not losing your sanity. Yeah easy pick not only is Wesker´s general planing and execution brilliant but his way of turning himself immune to the normal zombies by becoming something in between is a motivation we should all use the day the Zombies comes.
Item 6: Vegeta Blue Plush (Dragon Ball)
The most classic manga/anime villain Vegeta
While Vegeta might to the first glance feel like a typical pure evil planet destroyer. Lets not forget his first appearance in Dragon Ball.
Now Vegeta did end up with Bulma and get 2 kids (Half humans). But he showed a great pragmatic view of it, way breed someone stronger them yourself? In Super we see him not trying to even fight Beerus knowing his strength. Overall, Vegeta has truly grown to be the most realistic and reasonable character of Dragon Ball especially in the newest Super Anime. Where he also show he has as soft spot for Bulma, for this I would love to get a soft Super Sayin Blue Vegeta Plush.
Item 7: Kingpin Cane Pin (Marvel)
Lets go back to comics and Marvel, for some small replica items. I think it would be really cool to get a small version of the classic Kingpin cane.
So like this cane but a small version as a clothing pin, perfect for that Taskmaster T-shirt.
Why Kingpin, hes yet another character who has always struggled of just making money and some dam heroes attacks him. Yet he has many times helped the heroes when its benefaction for him. Hes a huge anti plot armor unless those times when helps the good side :)
Item 8: Red Skull Button (Marvel)
I would like button for your t-shirt based on Red Skull primarily from the Uncanny Avengers version or the classic Dell Rusk disguise, when he tries to take over the US in a political way.
This face but on a button
+
The Vote for Red Skull text on it.
Why the Red Skull, while he is more classical evil then the rest he has learned and realized that he cannot beat the heroes in a battle, in straight combat. So he has taken his later plans by trying to trick people to give him the power.
Ok that concludes my Dream Crate from Loot Crate, a mix of Marvel comics, manga/anime characters and some classic game art and villains.
I am probably gonna end up doing some half related video about where I try to explain why story telling need more villains like this, villains that you actually can say, "I would have done the same".
Hardest boss in the game to do perfect in my opinion.
It took me over 4 hours to get this boss down with no previous experience on it and no real experience playing A2.
I utilize the shields to survive pretty much and kite the balls for 2-3 rolls.
Eve is actually really easy, only took me a few atempts to beat him on very hard. Using the pod program C - homing missile you can just freeze him over at max distance, this is the same for Path B for that matter.
You really want to use a yorha corpse here deal the much damage as you can during its ball form.
Mainly, best strategy imo is to keep its stun phase to a later timing, you get it stunned by hitting its tail ball enough times, if you wait with this and do it when it has low health just before it goes into ball mode, you can get it stunned over most if not all of the ball mode.
A decent movie, especially the chemistry between Dick (old robin) and Starfire was execlent, some great jokes there.
I did not like the portrayal of Terra and I feel that generally the movie felt more censored then the original comics, this is very clear when looking on Terra and Deathstrokes relationship.
I go over what each class got, but also talking about the main combination of their previous meta strength and what likely will happen with the new cards.
I look into what are the 10 best cards that we got for arena on a class basis from Un´goro.
Note that his means that each class is not in this list, these are the 10 top cards, not the best card per class etc.
For example mage is not in it, so they did not get to many personally good new cards.
However, do not the list does not include epic nor legendariers.
In this video I cover the top 5 best cards that we got in general for Arena from Un´goro.
These are 5 cards that any class would be lucky to get when drafting an arena deck.
Volcanosuar a good strong reliable bomb drop, its 7 mana cost is with its double adapt is way better then most other 6-8 drops on its rarity.
Tar creeper, 3.5 for 4 mana, Its simply a senjin for 1 mana less and it has the elemental tag, amazing card.
Rog - a 4.7 with taunt half of the time, just a super good stats for 5 mana and with taunt its amazing.
Fledling , 3.3 for 3 that grows if unstopped. coining this guy on an empty board and they lack removal is usually game won.
Stubborn Gastropad. deathtouch with the poisonous effect and taunt for 2 mana, I would pay 4 man for this in arena, It forces out massive removal cards.
This is my review of NieR:Automata, if you should buy the NieR:Automata or not, what makes it good, what makes it not so good.
Core Gameplay:
First of all the NieR:Automata actually has 2 completely different gameplays, one classic shoot em up (SHMUP) version and one quick intense beat em up based action mixed with variation of long range projectile battling, and than its some roleplaying elements sprinkled over it.
Furthermore, the game is not only in 3D action but also features complete 2D stages which reminds one of classic great game from the Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis era.
Lets first look at the base action(and ignore the SHMUP for now), NieR:Automata has a great flow to the action. Standard of Platinum previous games and the game do actually play as a mix between Bayonetta and Vanquish. Many of the bosses do truly split in between a hack and slash high tempo action or 3D shooter where its about avoiding bullets while hitting them with your special abilitets.
NieR:Automata features 4 different main weapons, short swords, large swords, spears and fist weapon. You can set up 2 weapon as your main and than easily swap between the 2 preset. Combos are based around mixing the 2 different weapons equipped and/or by holding the buttons down.
During all of that, you also have your pod. Your companion and often a very logical(wanting to kill everything) personal partner. The pod is the living gun that you will use for shooting at enemies, while this mainly feels like its to be used for the shooter part of encounters, it actually a big part to learn how to constantly fill your enemies with bullets while you punch them in the face a big part of mastering the combat. This is both hard and rewarding, especially when you also combo in the special abilitets that your pod has.
The most important customizeable part of the game is to what your pod should do, first the pod has the Lazer which is often the best thing to have and the go to ability but there is a lot of cool and interesting special abilitets. You will also later have more then 1 pod and than just like the weapon can be swapped constantly, each pod have their own unique projectile so this is important to maximum damage but even more so to trigger your different abilitets for great effect.
Mastering the combos of weapon + using the pods + abilitets is quite a challenge and the core gameplay simply is a blast to enjoy.
But the best part is actually the mix between 2D and 3d. This game has a very cool how it mixes this things so effortlessly. You can have a whole dungeon as 2d, but the boss be in 3d. Or Vice versa. Some stages mixes this back and forth constantly this is showcased mainly in the shmup stages that do this constantly. A part of the shmup can be in Side 2D, the next Overhead 2D. Then classic rail shooter, into a 3d etc. All of this is extremely impressive, especially as some bosses are fight in both 3d and 2d, so even if its the same boss they have different feel to them as the sudden 2d limitation can be make the encounter feel vastly different.
The Shmup part then its actually what NieR:Automata starts with and then this game mode will be used every now and than. Its extremely nauseating difficult on very hard but otherwise its generally just a fun game experience, arguably to easy on the other difficulty. As mentioned on the Shmup part the game truly love to constantly swap the perspective and its 2 main different ones, whiel it features several different 2d views they all play the same. But in the 3d view, the games go classic Gundam and the airplanes becomes a mecha that has fighting abilitets.
The mecha part is played in a similar way to standard combat, you have weak and strong attacks which are in melee range, you got your special abilitets etc. The different 2ds are purely airplane mode and than you have only projectiles.
The only real problem with the shmup is that the game overall has an issue that enemies can both move and shoot during cut scenes, so each time the game changes perspective you might die, you cannot move during perspective change so especially on very hard then this might kill you. Enemies also fly into you in wait for the perspective to change and this will make projectile spawn at your face in some parts of the game. (On the standard gameplay there are places when you are completely surrounded by machines after the cut scene or load finishes as well)
The game is semi open world where you can explore areas that are currently unlocked and you later gain more areas by getting further in the story. You have classic rpg elements like crafting and improving weapon and pods, these are fine but not fantastic you simply get the mats and than you can make them better, but its also a lot of hidden items to find. The game also has fishing and some of the side quest are kinda like their own mini games for example there is a racing side quest where you have to get to places in a set amount of time. The game has good variation of gameplay.
The game only has 2 cons the game has when it comes to core gameplay is its checkpoint and other minor things with unfortunately a similar effect. When you die in the game you might have to run for 3-4 minutes until you reach the boss again. When you get to the boss you can skip the cut scene but not the boss dialogue (often a monologue of cryptic messages) which can take 1-2 minutes as well to have to listen to.
The main issue is that is not that its punishing you as the player for your mistake of death, the problem is more that the punish is not punishing enough(ignoring the boredom). If it was constant hard battles between point A(checkpoint) and B(boss) it would be fine, but often its just travel time with no enemies, its just travel time where you cannot fail. This puts you out of the zone each time you die on a boss. The game also have some what slow loading.
Fortunately this issue only happens on roughly the bosses. On the other ones you spawn at the boss right away (making it also inconsistent)
The second con is that some side quest simply are not that good. Many are typical MMORPG feel to it, kill 10 machine get their parts kind of boring quest. This is especially common in the begging of the game and the later quests are better.
Otherwise many quest are really, really good. For example, surprisingly some of the escort mission both involves great philosophical side story while others have different possible endings. Basically some of the side quest are really good and they may or may not affect the outcome of the main story.
Graphic and Sound:
This is the best part of NieR:Automata, the game combos amazing vibrate but on the same life less worlds with ominous and for the most parts melancholy sound track. Its truly hard to explain why this is so good, its a game to experience. What the game does best is that it tells a lot of the story thought its great aesthetics. You will learn a lot from a boss or a just a random machine by its particular movements, its color scheme, its face paintings etc.
NieR:Automata is also really ugly on purpose, the wold map looks ugly like crazy but it somewhat fits perfectly in to the game experience. The hacking parts of the game looks shitty, really shitty but it just works. Its a weird binary 0101 world that you see inside your android brain and its great.
Overall the game world feels so alive while it also feels extremely dead and depressing, it is hard to give this game justice when it comes to the graphic and sound.
The overall sound effects are also great, weapon clashing, explosion etc. All of that is great.
It has the issue that sometimes performance is dropped this not to common it is usually fine.
The only real con is that many characters do look the same, while the characterization is often done in an extremely efficient manner it can be hard gameplay wise to see who you are and who the enemy is, during special battles where you than fight similar characters to your controlled characters. Furthermore, the game zooms out a lot (this is a set camera angle) on certain fights than it can be hard to see who you are during the onslaught.
Story:
Its extremely hard to discussion and evaluate the story without spoiling. So trust in that its great, even many side quest have very good story and optional endings on them.
What one can say about the story is that its very special, this is a unique game. You are always feeling sad for every dam enemy, often it feels like you do not want to hurt anyone you face.
A very good thing the game does is that a lot of the story is so nicely told by the graphics as mentioned a few parts of the game even do its so little text you still feel like you know the character so well.
The game also has that a lot of the dialogues are told while you are moving, this really smooths on the gameplay from a classic JRPG where you would have to stand still and read.
Furthermore, NieR:Automata is filled with details about weapons, characters, units and so on in the game archives which is recommended to read, many of the weapons actually have quite the well written background stories on them, however you can only read the story partly until you improve the weapons level by crafting part of the game. There is a lot of extra material basically that you are gonna want to find out.
Just that talking to NPC is something you want to do is a great sign, the NPC says interesting and sometimes super weird and eerie stuff. Many random NPCs does some crazy random stuff in the background that will tell you more about the story and so forth.
Best part is that you are always second guessing if what you do is the correct thing, and who truly is on your side, who is honest to you, who is trying to trick you.
SCORE:
I end up giving the NieR:Automata a 9.3 for normal and Hard.
While I have to give it a 8.5 on Very hard.
CONS:
First of all NieR:Automata is clearly not balanced around easy or very hard, on easy the game plays for you, it auto avoids, auto aim and constantly shoot etc.
Where the minor issues are so amplified on Very hard.
The checkpoint issue is extremely boring on Very hard, having to re run an area over and over again with no actual enemies on it this + that you can only skip half the cut scenes or so. And the thing that enemies will move and shoot during cut scens or perspective change is just crazy, this will kill you all the time on Very hard and why mainly the Shmup stages are notoriously a pain the ass.
All pod chips are also meaningless on very hard as most of them are e.g lower damage taken, life steal etc. Which none of them work on very hard.
Lastly there is a clear glitch in that some enemies will hit you before the actual weapon/projectile touches you, the game is simply to generous sometimes on some abilitets collision detection, this will kill you a lot of very hard and it will look really strange and be very frustning.
That all being said, NieR:Automata has an amazing sound, graphic and story al 10/10.
The general game flow is fantastic, its great swaping between weapons and pods, its easy to change the customize of pods even during combat. The smhup stages might not be your cup of tea, they certainly where not mine but after having done a few and really got the feel for it the later stages of them where actually really enjoyable.
The bosses battles are great, some bosses are extremely intimidating while others are sad, so sad.
He is very bugged, so when you have ressed yourself or another player, you can utilize their body to just push him around for hes first phase. After this the phase is actually just time based, second phase seems to also actually be time based as I have almost instantly killed him in it and then he just regains life, so you can just avoid him until its over.
A2 as a boss is pretty hard, you have to really learn to avoid her dash attack that is either from the side or from above.
What I usually do is that I stand in the middle and then I float to one side and dash to the other side to be in the air in the middle for maximum time.
She has insane range, much longer than what the model shows so stay away when she uses her large sword.
Also avoid her quick kicks, stand at the corner and jump straight up to avoid it.
First of all the boss is time based so just survive and you clear it.
Eve will all the time instantly kill you from the side and this move is super bugged and can kill you without any animation so always split them up on max distance. Then you keep making Adam Teleport around and wait for the timer to run out
This boss is pretty hard the first time but its split into 2 parts actually so if you beat the first part you then have to only beat the second part if you die.
Hacking also does not kill you, so getting hit by the yohra voices is completely fine and a valid plan to jump into them on purpose if its needed.
When she sings she is very weak, combo on her than + use your pod.
When she leaves the scene you can deal a lot of damage, even get her burning if you have enough damage.
Adam is very weak in the start before he evolves, so try and do as much damage as you can at the start.
He is later gonna deflect bullets which can easily kill you so it might be best to not shoot at him when he is standing on the lower levels. Its fine to shoot at him when he is up at the higher floors.
This is my latest theory of One Piece, I seriously believe that Odas way to show Rejiu almost nude in this very weird way shows he is tired of it, especially when I went back and reread the chapter before I even realized she was almost naked and its a page in chapter 852 where she is sitting and her panties are outlined for no reason.
Wow this issue really took me for a loop, basically ruined the whole game experience for me so far, I wonder if I can actually save sooner then in the game, becasue it seemed weird that I was never allowed to safe in Nier.
In this video I go over the clans that exist in Nioh and Frankly many of them are pretty bad or extremely edge case good for a very speficic build that you can easily ignore more then half without any trouble. Many are also just worse version of others... so yeah most people pool into the same few clans.
I really loved the start of this movie as I talk about forever, the scenery was really dreadful and impactful.
The problem this movie has is the ending, the last villain after they defeat the first villain is just so bad.
First of all its extremely predictable that the standard justice league heroes cant do anything / will be mind controlled. And then its like, ooo he got everything but good tactics and planning so lets beat him with simple tricks.
This is simply the best shounen anime out there right now done by trigger who previously did Kill La Kill, they bring us another amazing main heroine Akko. Watch it!
I go over and reason why Nami the navigator with her weather knowledge + still being weak to any haki user and thereby afraid of all the strong guys while having a Logia would be the perfect fit to eat the Yuki Yuki no mi(snow snow) devil fruit that Monet had.
You wanna know the most obvious improvement for playing Nioh is?
Get spirit.
One spirit stat point is worth 3-5 times the value of 1 body or 1 stamina etc. Its freaking crazy good.
There is a lot of ways to improve in this game, I am for example planing to record a Kusarigama guide in the coming week.
But those are mainly all technical micro skills, what is always better to just do in this game for any player is to actually level spirit. 1 point in spirit has insane value, the first 6 points has amazing value compared to anything else really.
So I actually have 1 last cave to do but its outside the trophy aim not that it really matters but the last one just feels out of place.
So by now I am sinking time into Nioh instead.
I actually really like that you cannot use items in the last sealed dungeon in FF15, just wished that they have done that for all of those dungeons than the level planing would make 10x more sense.
I feel screwed now you know.
Anyway I hope that people here will go and like and comment my videos of it, its on fortunate that now when I got a good streaming capability agan that MAA is gone as I loved to talk about that.
Now in the future my eyes are on - Nioh, until I beat the main story at least.
Nier . Hell yes.
And Horizon at Dawn.
Hopefully I got time to beat Nioh before Nier is released.
