Dum dum-- I wont get Angel, as Playdom cant program. I only got my laptop with me right now, while given its not the state of the art gaming laptop one would think it could play flash games on Facebook-_- I keep getting the shockwave flash error(which many have already reported to Playdom for months) so I lose around every second pvp game to crash, before the game even starts. So its been really annoying to even get my 5 dailies this season, I am just outside adamantium with my afk team(Emma and X-23 or Emma and Wonder Man) so as always it would be no real issue to get into adamantium but I cant go up by doing attacks as I get constant crashes fun.
Anyway, since last season of Marvel Avengers Alliance it has not been many new characters and a few got some upgrades. Also none of the new characters see much play, which is weird as how good Wonder Man is(less weird as no one has Red Hulk)(and I will hate to wait for Angel,,,well it would be even worse if they dident design him after the ugly Wolverine and the X-men "modern" outfit").
Wonder Man is clearly the best tank in the game by far. Like I have already mentioned in earlier articles he is basically the only tank. As he is the only one that wont lose his tanking ability. He does also do high damage, have max hp/def but still have some evasion stats making and he can turn of the critical chance of blasters and stop stealth attackers(yes repeating/summary of review of WM) needless to say he obviously hard counter many characters and gets a very high score in the tier list.
I been playing a lot with Constrictor(mainly leveling him in PvP) hes not very good. Already from the start you need high bonus to make him work, what I mean by this is that you need high HP and High Def/eva so that the battle last long, as they rarely do in Marvel Avengers Alliance. As Constrictor is a character based around using items at random the longer the battle is the better he becomes. This means he negates characters who are also healers like him or characters that need to build up. Because while he needs some luck he will almost always use some items in a long battle. And he got very good items. The best to get first is the double turn(gives him 2 turns like Quicksilver and Omega Sentinel) this will double the chance to get more items going and he can still get the Tactician bonus, giving him 3 turns.
But hes not very effective, as bottom line is. Even with good stats you dont know how good he will perform. Some battles he basically does nothing.
Hes a luck based character that also need high stats(massive gold spend or at least all heroes at 12). I definitely dont recommend him in attack but in defense hes good(given you have that base stats for it).
Red Hulk as I mentioned before is on paper the best tank in the game with this aoe tanking and that he gains Health when he gets attacked. But as all other tanks(expect WM) he loses his tank ability to debuffs so hes kinda pointless just like Cap etc. Still he do have some use as his ultimate can win games(but its also luck based then).
The buff to Cyclops has not made him playable(maybe in some specific team) he is a decent character now. While he was a absolute useless character before. I guess if you use him with someone that wants high critical chance it can be good.
Magik got a small boost but it dont matter much.
THE BIGGEST CHANGE is that mind lick is now an quick action.
This move has always been the bane of Phoenix!
Overall this of course makes her better now you can mind link your agent or Kitty pryde etc. But, this makes her so much better now in AFK. As now she wont just waste her turns. She will do the Mind Lick and attack someone. Shes a lot better in AFK and she was already one of the better ones.
Note that for example Emma Frost is still the Queen of Pvp, even more so. Why is this=? Well the new characters were mainly tanks which she of course demolishes. Further increases her chance to win. Kitty is also good against all the new characters further increases her usages as well.
Other meta stuff:::
Well Rescue is starting to become the new Emma Frost being so ridicules over used, which is so stupid in as how really bad she is. One removal and she dont do anything. Even without removal she is barely doing anything. Also there is a lot of Juggernauts, so maybe its time to stop using Emma. But hte funny thing is as how people often combo Jug with Kitty and who beats Kitty? Emma-_- so its not very needed.
Another thing is how as there is a lot of Jugs, there is very few Emmas in defense this days meaning using Jugs on your on in attack is not very good anymore. Juggernaut was never really any A+ character. He is mainly a hard counter to Emma. When there is no Emma around hes decent. Hes only real use is how he gives surge of cytorak and strengthened to the team, which is a buff that boost unarmed melee attacks. This makes his team ups very limited. But what makes him easy to beat is how almost no one is using it correctly synergiezed with the Agent, while people usually have as mentioned Kitty or someone like Nightcrawler. Their Agent dont use unarmed. I mentioned in his review-- its so obvious that agent with techno organic is perfect to synergy.
Anyway hes easy to beaten even do I use Emma + person who needs experience
What is hard to beat this season is double unremovable tank teams for example Wonder Man and Wolverine. However, yet Again the game comes back to that Emma Frost can beat that.
Remove Emma already and make the game more interesting.
Summary:
Of the new characters Wonder Man is really good,
Stop using low tiers like Rescue(she might work for you in attack but guess why you have -300 after a night)
-Mix up your team, there is actually several valid characters now all A Tier and S tier etc. Such as Fantomex, X-23, Wolverine. Phoenix(is so much better in AFK now)
Last words--- were is all the Thundras, I seem to be the only one using my Thundra she is freaking awesome.
