Marvel Avengers Alliance PvP Season 16 Recap

God this season felt like season 1-2 all over again. Except for it being Emma Frost 99% of the game it was Psylocke another physic mutant chick.

So it was a lot of Quicksilver and Psylocke them. This team was common last season since the e-iso was released which gives Psylockes buff rights way, now with the new suit for Psylocke making her even better this team was played like 90% of the games.

I still managed to prevail.

Here are Drax recruit lines.

So facing this team all the time it more about having the stoic perseverance then they actually being hard to beat.

Yes a lot of people tell me all the time how broken Psylocke and QS is. But first of all, its really not a good defensive team if everyone is doing it!
In any game if everyone would use strategy A to try and win. Then you can just use the strategy, lets call it B. That counters A all the time and you get a great win ratio.

Luckily while Marvel Avengers Alliance is really imbalanced, QS and Psylocke has a glaring weakness. Its all about the first 2 moves of QS. After that its over.
I first combated this with Iron patriot and Magneto. IP will set his shield all the time and survive QS then as this team got low defence IP would just kill them with one AoE.

But there was an issue with using Ip (coming to that later).

So Instead I switcher to Emma Frost and wow did she work wonders vs this team.

Using Emma with Diamonds are forever, so she never loses diamond form. She can take the beating of the whole team with a mental coordination while taking like 1% damage. Sometimes it does not trigger but if it do triggers for QS or who ever does the first attack it will trigger for all of the attacks.

So from this I got an amazing B >>>> A. That works great also against the second most popular team combo of Pestilience + X character ( some variation here) as Emma can just Mental Tap him.

This is again why I never get why people wont change up their defene teams. Almost everyone set themself in A strategy or Strategy C who also loses to B. Then using B I get like 99% win ratio.
Truly it only becomes about not falling as sleep fighting the same team over and over again.

Tl: dr Emma beats Quicksilver and Psylocke.

Another cahracter that started popping  up was Iron Fist, he really is annoying when using Iron Patriot as he will interrupt his ultimate. That being said, he never beat me in defence even while he can use this. The problem with Iron Fist is that most people put him in way to survive oriented teams, like agent with extra heal, pestilence teams to try and live for a long time. As long as Iron Patriot just saves his Ultimate the Iron Fist team dont do much, however they dont lose as fast to Iron Patriot and the reason why I swapped him way for Emma to win games faster.

Magneto as always was a real Mvp, both being able to reduce the opponent teams damage and giving more turns while doing huge damage alone as well. He was one of the common characters played (after excluding the QS + Psy teams....).

Well not much more to say then that it people really should started using better attack teams - you see the same team over and over again. Play a team that beats it. Especially in this case were this A team is used so much that even if team B would lose to all other team that exist it would still have a 90% win ratio...
Of course in this specific scenario it almost felt a little shameful that it was imba Emma that was the perfect counter to it.

Marvel Avengers Allience PvP Tier List Season 16. Guide for best characters for PvP

Update: Emma has proven to hard counter QS and Psylocke teams, this made Sandman pass them in the top 20 - last hours of pvp - to tired to upload a new top 20 image (full list is updated).

Full Tier List Season 16

So this season at least stuff happened.

Some of the new characters who are really strong jumped up and are really dangerous foes in pvp.
Obviously Taskmaster who I have been trying to sell as one of the top character is ranked at spot 3 split with him and War.

He really has no weakness, except not getting the right class but still no real weakness, he don't help any enemeis etc. He can turn of any class he faces and he got some luck based attacks that can kill a character right away.

Sandman should probably be even higher, hes really strong. Like it said his article for him its a lot about simplistic, just high attack into 1 guy. Simple easy, works good always.

Some character who have fallen out from top 20 is e.g Ares. Which is not so weird as none of the new characters are weak towards him. While class bonus is not everything it has not been a new scraper since Sabretooth (16 characters back...) if we ignore the warrior 3 as they are duel classes. Just overall not better for any Bruiser.

Magneto is now rank 2, and hes the real rank 1. I been over this before but why Emma is so extremely high 1 is mainly because she truly rapes so many of the weaker characters with a 100% win ratio no mater what.
While Magneto is actually better versus many of the strongest characters as in how he prevents them from critical, great shield and give more turns and with ionizing he also does chip dot damage and improved overall energy attack damage. (He also hard counters Emma, that always helps) He has both a great offense and defense, well of Emma has that as well  just not as high as him. Shes more offense.

With the new uncanny x-force suit, it did not help Fantomex enough (out of A tier) but Psylocke is now one of the strongest characters.

With her is not about the mental coordination which I would guess most people think its about, yes that also has increased her value overall but some teams and especially the agent can stop that right away. So if looking at just her coordination thing its still pretty much stuck with Quicksilver to be a super good thing.

No its about the classic overexposed tactician. A Tactician with stealth/mental cant get countered by Infiltrators and is super strong versus Blasters as she can just kill them by attacking them twice so easily just like classic Gray widow etc. So before in the season 15 and back tier she was good vs Tacticians and decent vs the rest some weakness to scrappers and so on. Now shes super good vs all Blasters and not actually weak vs most of the games infiltrators leaving her at a much higher overall score.

And then we have come to the characters who were in the bottom and now are boosted. Luke Cage, She-hulk and Deadpool.

While She-hulk is a lot better now she is still not super amazing, do I will say that in bot her and Powerman's case there is not much data as barely anyone plays them anyway so....
In both their cases its like taking a character who got 0/10 in power boost it by 3(Cage) or 5(She-hulk) that wont make them reach the 10/10 characters like Emma. Luke Cage is getting a new suit so he will get better but its still the same thing lifting someone who was in the absolute bottom they need to be lift a lot. (He probably goes from 3 + 2 to 5 which will make him much better then before but not near the best characters)

Deadpool got buffed with his new suit and overall in many of the chapters with new a-isos and e-iso etc.
His latest thing is the all move got boon buster dealing higher damage to buffed targets and then he know gives them buffs with his iso.....

First of all Deadpool was in the same boat as Luke Cage and She-hulk just a little higher so clearly hes not an ace character with some minor buffs.

And the whole Buff the finest hour guy is dangerous to say the least. The rank now take in consideration Deadpool abusing self build up buffers like Hercules, Wonderman etc. But its really a very risky strategy which wont work if the opponent has to high stats. Then you just buff  them and they kill you right away.

My personal experience for the most part is the Deadpool boast my Sandman and he instantly kills their team

Using Deadpool this way is truly like fighting fire with fire. Which is really a bad saying as won't an fire user usually have high defense vs fire. So that would leave them both taking low damage when in this case we mean to say that they both take very high damage, so for example fighting Dragon with Dragon would be am such better saying, just saying.

Deadpool then is very risky as it stops being Dragon Vs Dragon and more like Dragon VS Ice or something when they got way higher stats. If the opponent got huge stats its gonna be over when he buffs them

Marvel Avengers Alliance: Best Team PvP Season 16. Guide for best characters for PvP. Review Sandman and Anti-Venom

Sandman:

Ok Sandman, was anyone happy to see him be playable? I think not. I don't know anyone who is a fan of Sandman, maybe I am bias because growing up with Spider-man the animated series and they did not include Sandman, instead Hydroman usually filled his spot.

But I think its more because he is so dam lame, hes lame in the comics, lame in movies ( I disliked how he was the one who called uncle Ben in spider-man 3 ofc) and so on right. His issue is that hes fundamentally using is power in such as stupid way. While Playdom usually get 0/10 in creative design scorings. T cant blame them in how horrible sandman is. His first move is hitting with his sandhammer hand yeah. AAAAAnd his third move is hitting with his sandhammer hand but in a different angle and now it makes like 100x more damage.
His second move is to become more sandy or something. And the fourth move is throwing sand around him. He has the ugliest move set in the game but lets face it, hes like that in the comic a well. So its actually not Playdom's fault. But they made him sickly overpowered.
On a personal level I hate to play with him but he gets the job done. Its not much to say really on why hes so good, hes like a super version of Wonder man. there is not much to say about why Sandman is such a strong character in PvP as he is one of the most simplistic characters ever. Its not truly Playdom's fault but they could be better at design regardless and as combat designer (thats my primary domain) they have failed miserably in how imbalanced he is.

So I just want to talk a little on why I thin Sandman is such a bad character (comic wise)

Enter: Sir crocodile

For you who have not read/watched One Piece Crocodile eat the sand fruit, and got pretty much exactly the same powers of Sandman.

image

He is made out of sand so he is immune to conventional weapons just like Sandman.
So while they should be same, in power at least he uses them 100x more intelligent. This is one thing that Oda does really good, using powers which are already established in other media but using  them better.

Crocodile first of all can dry people out by touching them. Sandman has never really used his sandpower except throwing sand it into peoples eyes....Like he never uses his sandpower good in close combat he just kind of try to punch people most of the time.

And if there is anything lame with Sandman its how he transforms his hands to hammers etc, his name could have been hammer hand.

I like this picture form Wikipedia on sandman and it says  "Sandman shows off new powers" Oh he can become more of him and he can transform one of his hands to a knuckle morning star instead of a hammer. Sandman is such a ridiculously limited character in marvel.

Crocodile uses sand like a true weapon shooting out in different type of attacks, he don't just kind of send sand towards people. He uses a very lethal close combat sand attacks and create storms etc. he also uses poison and other stuff not related to his powers of course one of the biggest issue overall in Marvel is how retarded most of the villains are its like they have to follow some kind of loser codex.

That brings me to one thing I really hate with Sandman,  why does he not cover his face? What I mean with that cant he just alter how he looks? Why would he commit crime with his normal face, it makes absolutely no sense especially when he aim is to help is daughter with the money, getting fame is only gonna work against him in every regard.
Sandman or Flint Marko as he is usually called is made to be this sympathetic villain who is forced to do crime for his family. so that means he is to used the money he gets to pay for stuff at normal places...Some villains are just crazy like Carnage. Some villains like Green Goblin (also crazy but at start at least...) let say Hobgoblin then, they can do crime and get money live a bad ass life. This is pretty much exactly what Hobgoblin does and what his aim is. He don't have to alter his face to look like someone else, its enough if he just kept it Sandy all the time.
Even being captured should be hard to know who he really is, after Spider-man catches him why would he revert to his basic face? Not like Spider-man is gonna torture him.
(in Crocodile case its funny enough the reverse being so uber exposed as he is has made him immune to go to jail).

Of course for Marvel Avengers Alliance they just copied Wonder man but buffed him severely. Sandman is a lot like Wonderman, they have the same third attack a powerful finisher based on number of buffs it does more damage. Both bruisers, Sandman reduces the damage he takes and has am increase dodge ability taking less damage while Wonderman has heal and immunity to damage over time effects.

They have the same strength and weakness, mainly neutralize. There are more Bruiser like this, e.g Thundra. Heimdall. They all buff up them self and try to finish with a finest hour attack, This is why they are all weak to the anti bruiser debuff given by disadvantaged attacks or by some attacks who has neutralize ofc. As it both removes enrage, the class bonus and the buffs they need to do their finish attacks. But Sandman has the strongest finest hour attack in the game.
As he can easily use his second ability which right away gives him the rising up effect, which is that the character gains the basic buff at random.
The other characters like Wonderman gains this by attacking.

Sandman is tremendously much better because of this. Not only can he attack right away the first turn with a super strong attack that often one shot people. He is also not very weak towards neutralize or other similar effect as he gains his buffs the same turn he attacks and does not have to prep up for the next turn which the others are doing which leaves them week to removal and preventing effects. Note, not only his he not so weak to neutralize but also stuff like Scroll of angolob.

Sandman also gains a self buff called Grit, just like Quicksilver gains Quickness from his first attack. But Grit is better.. as it increases all the base stats. This can also be removed and is also blocked by neutralize. So removing and preventing stat increase is still good versus him but a much lower scale then to other similar characters.

And here really is the issue with Sandman, he can so easily kill someone right away when the game starts. The attack also gains bonus from number of Grit stacks (just like QS, or Sunfire etc... did I mention how both in game Sandman is boring and uncreative and Sandman in the comics are as well).
He is super overpowered, if he dont kill them turn 1, he will get them down to at worst 20% hp left. And he still has his passive that makes him slightly harder to kill and he counter attack sometimes thats also kinda annoying his ultimate deals damage based on the Grit and can actually also be really devastating,.
But its not only that he has a super attack that goes of right away. His quick action is the best evasion buff in the game. 50%!!! That's just wtf, 50%!!! Comparing him to Wonderman agian, Wonderman is slightly hard to kill but Sandman is really hard to kill.

I really hate how good he is, I wish Sandman was bad in the game so I could just hide him away in a corner. Especially with Taskmaster, as explained in the last article Taskmaster right now is super good in the meta teaming him with Sandman is a 1 turn kill team. As Sandman often gets to attack twice while being buffed.

His quick action move is simply to good, even if he wont do as much turn 2, turn 3 bam another character dead.
 He relly needs a nerf.

The only thing that so far is good vs Sandman is disoriented and mind control so he might one shot his teammates instead.

He works great in defence as he is so simplistic.  There is no real intelligence to play him, just use QA then attack.

Summary: Horrible character - horrible game design (boring and uncreative), overpowered like crazy (bad multiplayer design). Nice as it forces players to use him even do hes so boring.

Anti-venom:

Just like Sandman is very similar (carbon copy more or less) of Wonder Man. Anti-venom is pretty much like X-23(laura).

This is pretty much why hes not a good cahracter, while Sandman is clearly better then Wonder Man having the same attacks but much much faster its not as simple to compare Anti-Venom to X-23 but its by far the easiest way to explain why he wont be played.

First they both have a passive heal they both have the chance to survive lethal damage.
Anti-venom is immune to some stuff while X-23 reduces damage from some stuff, so hes better at that regard.
 But yeah similar.

Then their first attack is pretty much the exact same move. Bleeding and ravage, were Anti-venom might remove buffs X-23 instead turn of people from using buffs...

 Yeppppp very similar.

Third move.

Exploit bleeding, exploit opportunity on anti-venom while X-23 instead has exploit paragon....he again has might remove buffs she instead got extra change for critical damage.
Anti-Venom do have hemrogh triggering bleeds but its a meesly damage especaily when he cant set up bleeding so well.

His ultimate removes all buffs, prevent new stuff from being applied and damage the target if anyone removes the blocking debuff, so it has as similar context to X-23 assassinate. Did I mention they were similar?

The second move is an aoe, just like with her and it sets up the third strong finish attack...

But here comes the problem with anti-venom. Hes not a weak cahracter.  but hes not a very reliable cahracter. All his moves has a % chance of something being applied.
His aoe is very strong in theory it has opportunist a chance to apply a bunch of different debuffs, strong but you cant predict what you get.
Depower who removes status from abilities strong but only has a 60% chance to apply and it has remove buffs of a 30% chance.
His abilities 1-3 all has a 30% chance of removing buffs while he also has a passive that might remove buffs before an opponent attacks him.
Note, that his description is wrong in the game, IT says he will attack them and remove a buff, makes it sound like a quicksilver future punch etc. But he actually does nothing towards them expect remove 1 random buff, which usually means nothing.

Overall all his remove is bad, low chance and its only removing 1 single buff which the player cant determine which one and in the meta today a lot of people have 4+ buffs on them all the time, unless the player uses an AoE removal. Pretty shitty actually.

But going back to X-23 is the best way to explain why Anti-Venom wont see much play.

Their first moves are almsot the same, but she got a debuff which si actually very strong (read the horseman article about for details) other wise they have the same move, but her is clearly better.

Their third move is almost the exact same move but she got increased chance for critical this is huge on a build up move which works as a finisher her third move does way more damage then his.

Anti-venom's ultimate is his weakest move. Its quite bad were she got an instant kill instead. Here clearly Anti-venom is much worse then X-23.

His second move is better if we don't look at her passive.

With X-23 passive she can get off an aoe into her first attack on everyone making it far better then Anti-venom. While that require some luck, so its not 100% certain his whole second move is uncertain always on how much it will do.

They are so similar, same class as well(bruiser) the only difference is that he works better with opportunistic and spider-man and Venom. While she works better with all bleeders which is way more characters. So he is also limited.

And all of this is comparing Anti-Venom to X-23 not War. In her War suit she gains one of the strongest passive in the game.

That's pretty much it. Anti-Venom, I like how his design passive is the reverse of the other symbiotes in how they are weak to fire he is strong etc. But otherwise then that, hes just a god dam copy of X-23 just like Sandman is just Wonderman. But Anti-venom is even more of a carbon copy. Boring, really boring.
But in this case the original copy (which is kinda funny as shes a clone :) is better.

All that being said, hes still a decent character. Just X-23(war) is one of the best characters. He do have some kind of niche team maybe with other web users. If Playdom had made the web agent item set better he might been really good in a specific team set up.

Marvel Avengers Alliance: Best Team PvP Season 16. Guide for best characters for PvP. Review Taskmaster and Rocket Raccoon

Taskmaster

Unfortunately Playdumb forgot about the Iron Fist, Daredevil, Spider-man moves and so on. Its actually really stupid in the game that he has no Melee attacks, because Taskmaster clearly has always utilized a combo martial art style of well ever martial art and every famous hero.

Ok anyone who are friends on me on Facebook knows that this is my agent name (since day 1 of the game) and I have already written a long explanation on why I loath the design of Taskmaster in ever aspect. So here lets just focus on how strong he is in the game.

While the fucked him up hard, Playdom at least got one thing right Trick Shot its a combination of Modern Hawkeye suit.
And this is the jewel of Taskmaster move all otehr moves are shit compared to how OP Trick Shot is really (another reason they are bad and their job as Trick Shot is the first ability for him....).

Its really so badly done that getting another class who cant use Trick shot is a determent to his damage output by a large margin no joke. The secret to beating him in AI defence is really to attack him with e.g an infiltrator to remove his Trick Shot. The weakens ( and cohesively bad design towards his Comic powers) is that he has to be attacked its the enemy who decide his powers not himself.

Thats a major flaw in his strength for PvP. So he has that flaw in defence, but in attack. Wow he is broken. And as everyone knows AI gets lucky :)

First of all its because of his passive, while I hate how it works. Its much safer then Mockingbird or Punisher (or uber useless Moonknight) as he never becomes weak to anything. This is a huge difference from where MB usually would be exploited by another team mate if she changed class. Which is very obvious as Player A has Scrapper he likely have a Blaster with him. So MB turning to Bruiser would leave her vulnerable to the otehr character.
Punisher likewise turns into one class he wants but then also gains the weakness of that class.
While Taskmaster is uncontrolled class turn, he only gets the class bonus and stays as a Generalist!

This is actually makes him really strong in defence. There is never a character he is bad against, on the contrary he is really strong vs Tactician in general and well against any class really. But especially Tactician is hard countered by him.

Another reason for this is because of Taskmasters second part of the passive and his ultimate.

His passive, gives him 50% chance for one more turn just like Mockingbird. So if he gains the Tactician bonus he gets to not do one Trick Shot but 3 50% of the time. Just doing it twice usually kill one character. Overall getting more turns in a turn based game is of course veyr strong, however it do has his inherent weakness that he has to be attacked to get it. Mockingbird can attack into someone and swap classes. Still most people uses aoe attack so he do swap a lot, plus he can actually swap into Generalist. He got 5 set of abilities + his start abilities of Generalist and he can swap into Generalist again and gain the ubiquitous bonus (plainly more stats) and that can also happen while he is the already a Generalist (start of the game, well he is always a "Generalist").

Another thing that makes Taskmaster better then Mockingbird (and the other 2 who are clearly just bad). Is that he is not immune to Generalized, which removes class bonuses but as he don't turn into a class he don't turn into something with just a weakness.  That's given really. But a major plus for Taskmaster is that he is not immune to Disadvantage! While this buff started off as unique ability it has quickly been put on more an d more characters so likely its gonna be even more common. But it does not work on Taskmaster as he don't actually have a class just the bonuses. So even if hes in Blaster form he don't gain impaired (which would negate the critical from Blaster plus reduce his damage by 25%).

His Ultimate is an extension of his passive, its boring and blend...like really boring and blend well it do fit his theme as a trainer but..still they could have done so much better more on that later and why it causes an issue for him gameplay wise.
What it does is that he can give his class to the team, which is just a lot like The warrior 3 design is it not. Its quite strong depending on what class he gets at the start, its a Quick action move but with a very long cooldown,, so sometimes it might be worth not using it right away.

This ultimate again is why Taskmaster primarily is great to get Tactician bonus as then he can give to to someone else.
 - On my personal games/account and i want to emphasize on that as on that one my main team right now in attack is Sandman(more on him in the coming article) and Taskmaster this team can 1 turn kill everyone with the right start easy. If Taskmaster gets Tactician and gives that bonus to Sandman, Sandman can hit 2 people the first turn with is 3 third ability that does like 80-90 of their max health with no critical effect ( I note its my team as I got all possible Blasters on 14 I got huge attack (E-Penis)

For some team mates also possible the agent that is really, strong. But Tactician he can only give to one. Its nto bad giving everyone Scrapper  (when its not Tactician it goes to everyone including himself). Makes the damage outburst be much higher and he still retains that when eh changes. That everyone counters from infiltrator is very strong sometimes and so on.

Ok now the abilities.....  1 good 19 bad moves. Pretty much sums it up. This is a general problem many games has not only Marvel Avengers Alliance, while this game always shows this bad move of having a character with more then the standard abilities, 4 for this game they will always give the cahracter several shit abilities who really have no value. But this is also the same for e.g League of Legends some of the more then 4 characters there usually get a bunch of mediocre abilities (not as bad as in this game but still its a common design fault).

Taskmaster has first of all no ultimate expect as Generalist but thats a really shitty move it does a lot less damage then his first move as Generalist the noted imba Trick Shot. Its really stupid. But thats how it is, his other ultimates as mentioned are just more of his passive.

So he then hes 3 abilities per class 18 abilities left, but some of them are the same, luckily for him its Trick shot.
It truly is a huge thing for him that Trick shot is available for the Tactician instead of the much weaker attack, e.g Infiltrator has.

Tactician also has the best support ability of his and you can of course attack once and then buff the team.

He is a jack of all trades like he is supposed to be but as you cant control what he gets it really lowers his value. One game its that you want to get Bruiser to Get the neutralise's ability because the enemy team is spamming buffs but you get infiltrator...
Still he is not weak or anything and his class have the counter to the class they are. So its Bruiser who got neutralize, scrapper got winded, blaster got impaired, infiltrator has off-balance and Tactician got exhausted. Of course it would make like 10 times more sense if he had an ability with disadvantage instead but.... if you just want to counter the class disadvantage is the way to go.
Neutralize for example is more to counter a buffer to remove their 4 main stats buffs not to counter the specific enrage class thing. Off-balance so they cant counter is usually better against non infiltrators like Black Widow that counters everything, those kind of character has more reliable counter attacks and are then weaker to off balance, winded is better against characters like Iron Patriot who set them self up for massive follow up attacks not scrappers.

He has  a tool box that sometimes is really strong, h can remove stuff and he got a few different buffs and he can heal himself, a little of everything but it all usually just means one thing.

SPAM TRICK SHOT

In the end this is way his strongest attack. What it does is that it shoots one arrow and then maybe some more. It was actually just nerfed it used to 1 shot people. He could stand there for ever and he needed no prep as it puts on pin target before the attack it was insanely over powered. Pre this current patch this was the strongest attack in the game. Getting an extra turn would mean a sure kill of 1 enemy. Becoming Tactician many games Taskmaster could kill all 3 enemies alone the first turn by Trick Shooting each one of them once.
So its weaker now hard to set an exact number on its current strength ands its a little varied. But give or take 1 character will almost always die turn 1 if Taskmaster gets 2 turns and retains Trick Shot.
And as mentioned buffing the rest of the team with an offensive boost or giving e.g Sandman or someone else with single target attacks (which should be the team up primarily with Taskmaster) there is potential for extremely strong first turn damage.

Taskmaster is really very, veyr strong. His weakness is teh unctrollend class swap as the player cant control what class he gets its the enemy. That's the big flaw with him. But the thing is that the current meta, is so much Tacftican. Pretty much every game. Hes weakest class is Blaster and as Blaster is the least used Class by far thats pretty good for old Tasky.

He as a character in the game definitely some meta weakness, depending on who is played that makes him stronger/weaker. But right now hes top dog and nothing makes it looks like a change is coming.

Rocket Raccoon

Because live action small animals are cool and they got huge balls ( let see if anyone get the reference)

First of all Rocket has 2 major flaws, 2 major issues

Ammo is a horrible game design. It looks cool, it looks strategy but it just makes him so dam useless sometimes.  Well it have some points but for the most time its a useless because the ultimate is so weak. There are rare occasions, e.g wanting to attack after Agent. Can make it ammo useful but this is the only time. H

While it looks like a good charge attack, as the player not only sacrifice 1 turn so that they the next turn can do a super bad ass attack they can change their mind and do 5 normal attacks instead.
BUT, Playdom with their absolute lack of game balance design (yeah no surprise to anyone) made Rocket's ultimate attack so weak so its no point spending 2 turns to do it. Scratch that its really weak as they put fucking wild shot on it so misses a lot as well. Which makes it even worse, you want to spend 2 turns on an attack that might hit and don't do so much damage anyway?

Another ridiculously huge fundamental issue Rocket has its that hes a blaster with almost only AoE attacks. Blaster is clearly the worst class in the game by far and only having viable attacks who are AoE. Yeah,,,,,fun. A very common team right now are mixes of 3 Tacticians. But just 1 tactician and that is annoying.
I actually do think Rocket is playable in Defence with the absolute perfect niche team for example with Taskmaster as I talked about a little. But other then that he can literally be the dumbest AI defence team mate ever. There is just no chance teh AI wont AoE attack and give Tactician a free turn.

Already from here Rocket is absolutely one of the worst PvP rewards in the game ever.
Hes probably the worst anti Tactician character in the game and he got no real strengths.

And..to even considering playing him you need to get the ionizing A-Iso. Now I already have 4 of these its not that expensive but still another idiotic issue for him.

Anyway, if you put Ionizing on his first attack he actually becomes quite strong, in the right teams.
This is very important as his first attack does almost no damage but you can do it 3 times per turn. This means he can at turn one right away put 3 stacks on everyone its also his self coordination move(his passive) and counter etc. So its very, very important to boost this ability.

Having done this Rocket with his third ability an attack that puts pyrophoric on everyone becomes really good at chipping down enemeis. What this means is that he will do very low but stable damage. So hes actually will kill the enemeis eventually.

But from this he got major issue vs characters that can remove his debuffs or the agent in general. Especially if the Agent starts with Mystic, you can do nothing then with Rocket. This is actually the only case really were it helps having ammo set as then its worth saving ammo for the next turn and let your agent first remove the mystic shroud.
However, again this comes back to a huge miss match of abilities. Damage over time, takes time but its safe. But at least it has to start right away as it takes longer time then otehr strategies. Many games Rocket just stands there for a turn before anything happens and the Pyro to radiation strategy takes at least 1 turn to set up many games 2 turns. As Marvel Avengers Alliance PvP is so fast faced and often ends in 2-3 turns, some games even at turn 1. This is of course sickly slow.

That being said when Rocket has gained pyro on all enemies and does his first attack 3 times and with coordination he deals a lot of damage. In the end he becomes a build up character who instantly loses to anyone who can remove stuff, horrendous bad for build. And he also loses in general to any of his counter class characters.  Oh yeah he also needs to have a follow up / counter attack team mates or he wont do much (or like Sunfire to set up Pyrophoric for him). He is one of the most limited characters in the game and he is also one of the most vulnerable characters, which is really retarded. If hes gonna be super stuck in just a few teams at least make him strong...

1/10. Really bad character, bad design better go and play him in MvC3 instead.

Quality Maniac: Eyeshield 21, Japan, Mangaka and Left-hand traffic.

So Eyeshield 21 I really like this Anime and Manga.  Great plot line it follows the typical Karate kid start little bullied kid who actually is good at sports I waited the whole series until the end to finally get that moment when the bigger football players protects Sena.

Spoiler: Yes ofc, the 3 brothers becomes his friends and so but my moment favorite off the field moment was easily when Sena and Monta wants to have a table at McDonalds and some teenagers are like "oooH this shitty kid is angry hohoho" and then Gaou, Agon (the 2 most violent/scariest players in the whole series + Shin the nice scary) comes and tell those teenagers that are gonna kill them if they dont let them have the table.
I was also really looking forward to see how Agon would interact with the others in the all star team, I just really liked his character. Ofc the best character is Hiruma Ya-HA

I recently started watching it and as the Anime stops before its over I  of course started reading the manga.

And in the end of the series I found this very obvious mistake which I am sure are in other mangas as well I haven't thought about it before but now since I saw it in this manga I will look for it more.

Its one thing that when they are in America everyone speaks perfect Japanese. That can be ignored for the story, still it was kinda weird how Panther's grandma called them Japanese boys in English while otherwise talking perfect Japanese...

But this image here from chapter 313. This is something I am sure more Japanese mangaka does.
Agon here drives a car in New York. Notice how he drives on the left side like it was Left-hand traffic like its in Japan. Even more obvious is this mistake if one looks at the car itself.
Because arguably Agon is a crazy gangster kind of character so he could drive to the left even do the US has Right-hand traffic. He just stole that car, so its not like he follows the law.

But, but. The car clearly has the wheel on its right side like how cars are in Japan and other Left-hand traffic. The car should have it on the left like how cars are manufactured for the US.

I haven't gone back in the series but this issue is probably in the first trip to the US as well.

The plot line is slight off too I my opinion as well, because Agon had a lot of "fans"(whores) home in Japan but how did he get the number to that women in New York there is no indication he knows anyone in NY even more so that he has a booty call so easily available but w.e
